"I don't really hang around humans. And it isn't like like we have a direct stream of Human beer coming from... whatever their home planet was called. Mars? No... Neptune?" She looked past her comrade and smiled at the two Cartus. "Hello~!" she said pleasantly. "Look, I think it is two of your people! How are you?"

“A few things, it’s not mars humans come from earth, second I’m my own person not one of his kind and I’m in a very bad mood.”

Olivia nodded. "We're Cartus. We're relatedin a similar way you're related to apes. And around these parts, most of his Shinso treat us as third class citizens at best... and slaves at worse."

"Slaves?" The human raised an eyebrow at her partner. "Slavery is illegal though."

“Not in their home system it’s not, and it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.”

Olivia stared at the Shinso, curious as to how he'd react.

“Wait my kind in slaves one of there own?” The man stood up and walked to the Cartuses.” Trust me when I tell you I’ve worked with plenty of Cartus, and never once have I thought less of them . Nor have I seen them as slaves, were you two ever?”

Olivia nodded. "Born into it. Escaped when I was five."

Bonny looked at Olivia in surprise." I too was born into it got out when I was eight years old."

The man in questioned looked ashamed. "I'm so sorry for the both of you, believe me when I tell you that I knew nothing about that nor that my home system did things like that."

"Me either." The human put an hand on his arm. "He's a good man. A good man who has spent his life doing good things. He didn't even know. Please... even if you hate all other Shinso, he is different."

"Never I don't care if he's good he's a Shinso, I will never forgive any Shinso. To me I will never be happy until they are on the verge of extinction and are forced to change." Bonny said with hate and venom.

"Well... what if the second part happened first?" The human smiled. "They don't have to be on the verge of extinction if they abolish slavery, right?"

"If that happens then I could let go of my hatred, but that's never gonna happen so I want them dead."

The Shinso looked at Bonny." I'm sorry to hear that, it's sad that my kind does this to another version of there's. I wish I knew of them sooner."

"You're not them." The human gave him a stern, serious look. "They are Shinso in GFP and Shinso space. You're a Norscan Shinso. You have nothing to be sorry for."

Bonny growled, but swallowed her anger temporarily." Right so um you two have names or do we just call you Norscans?"

The human laughed. "That's funny. You're funny. I'm Cathy Jones."

“Lucas Valentine, it’s good to meet you both. Once again I’m sorry about what’s happened to you both.”

Bonny rolled her eyes.” Well ugh I’m Bonny, I’m one of the bounty hunters.”

"Lt. Commander Olivia Senderhold, GFP."

"Oh, titles. I like titles. Did, um..." Cathy rubbed her neck nervously. "Did my people every enslave anyone."

"Yes, their own Brethren," Olivia stated bluntly. "It was over a millennia ago though and over the silliest things like... color of eyes?"

“And skin color, did they not teach human history in Norsca or Shinso history?” Bonny asked.

Cathy exchanged a look with her comrade and shrugged. "They did, but... we don't have that much information on human history. And more then you have of Norscan history. And I've lived in Norscan space since I was three. My ship flew into the Neutral Zone, near Norscan space when our pursuers caught up and borded. The Norscans answered our distress call and saved me... but not before my parents were killed. So... I was raised by Norscans."

“I’m sorry to hear that, it’s a shame that our government couldn’t help. But maybe once we’re done down here I could tell you about Mars? I live there with since my father bought me.”

"I would like that very much!" Cathy said. "You're so friendly! I was afraid you'd be distrustful... considering..."

"Some of us still are," Olivia stated, folding her arms.

“I’m open minded, and I’m a bounty hunter can’t disrespect a possible contractor, besides I may not like your friend but if he proves his worth who knows I might be kinder to him.”

Lucius smiled at Bonny.” I thank you for the opportunity.”

Olivia sighed and said, "And a representative of the GFP it is my duty to assure we are show to be open to being allies." She bowed her head. "Good to have you on board. We simply wanted to meet you. We'll leave you for now so you can continue relaxing."

Lucas also bowed.” It was a pleasure meeting you both, you are both versions of what your people should be. Proud with there heads up high.”

Olivia smiled and bowed back before turning and walking out with Bonny. "That went surprisingly well," she said.

“Yes it did, it’s good to hear that Cartus are free in Norsca, and that slavery is outlawed.”

Cathy waved lightly as she watched them go. "Well now... that was easy?" Her smile widened. "They really are open books, aren't they?"

"That's a good thing it means that they are proud of there people." Lucas looked down." Though I wish I never new the truth about my kind, I never knew that we did that to Cartuses it's disgusting."

"Oh... it's okay. It isn't your fault." She frowned and rubbed his arm. "You're not going to let this get in the way of the mission, are you?"

"No it won't, but it's just disappointed. But I will not lose focus on our job, perhaps we might get that blond Cartus to come with us when all is said and done."

"They're always looking for new converts. And think of all the information we'd get. We might not even have to hack into their computers... but we probably should anyway."

"If we do so we need to be cautious about it, if we are caught who knows what will happen? I think for now we pay attention to the mission at hand, and see what this Solex and his pirates are capable of."

"You got it, partner." She jumped up and ran to the other side of the bar. "But first! Let's find something really gooooood!"

Lucas rolled his eyes.” You have a problem you know that, but I will admit I am curious about what they drink.”

Olivia and Bonny walked into the meeting room. JJ looked relieved that they weren't covered in Shinso blood, but looked troubled all the same. She looked back to the screen where their client was explaining the situation.

“Right so as I was explaining I needed help, I used to work for a pirate named Solex. He wouldn’t destroy my station, if I provide him weapons and armor and some of the criminals that we locked up.”

Aya nodded. "Doesn't surprise me. Sometimes I think half the galaxy works for him. But what do you mean used to?"

The Dondondari looked down." Lately Solex has been really ramping up his rampage, he's been raiding and destroying a lot of settlements and colony's. I can't take what he's doing anymore."

"So you want out." JJ nodded. "Understandable. But I imagine it's not as easy as saying you quit."

"I would think so but it's been days since, i'm hiring as many mercenaries as I can mostly because I don't want our police to die because of me."

"Well, we'll be there right away. Where are you?" Aya asked.

"I'm near Pikko space, I'll send you the location. Pleas come as fast as possible." The transmission ended.

Bonny just looked at the screen." So this is all feeling very familiar, who want's to bet that our favorite white haired Tamarian will show up?"

JJ and Aya looked back at her. "But... she doesn't work for Solex... I thought."

"Doesn't mean we shouldn't expect right, I mean this woman was his best assassin. I'm just saying what if she shows up, now I could be completely wrong and he could just attack the station. I'm just hoping that we don't see her." Bonny chilled a bit at the thought of seeing Roberta.

The women nodded. "We'll bring a large crew for this one," Aya stated. "He is paying well. Are you in, Bonny?"

"Ugh hum, I... Sure why not hopefully this time we can actually stop whatever Solex throws at us, now what about our GFP and Norscan representatives?"

"I'm game," Olivia said. "It is my duty to protect people from Solex. But can those two even fight?"

"Well JJ can ask them if they want to join or not, For now i'm gonna go get ready, for whatever Solex send our way." Bonny left the room, to more then likely go to the weapon room."

"I'll get ready myself." Olivia bowed her head and walked off.

"Well, little miss attitude has chilled out," Aya said. "Guess being in a fight with Bonny helped... or knocked a few brain cells loose."

JJ chuckled. "They had a heart to heart. Olivia is not so bad. She just has had... a bad time. Many of my people can relate." She led Aya to the bar and found the two had found a bottle of Celestian Absinthe.

Cathy was completely smashed, dancing on top of the counter. "Woo! It ish like... I'm flying through space or someting!"

"By the elders get down woman, your a representative of the Norscan." Lucas said while also being red in the face, but he turned around and saw JJ and Aya." Ou lads come for a drink?"

Aya rolled her eyes but JJ giggled. She raised her hand to help Cathy down. "We actually came by to see if you two know how to fight and.. if you'd be interested in a protection job. We'd pay you of course."

"Well It seems pretty obvious but." Lucas looked at Cathy." While we can fight, I don't think any of us are in good condition to help my apology's ."

"It will take us a while to get there," Aya said. "If you decide you want to join us, let us know. You can also act as observers, as is your want."

"I'll be sure to let you know, I thank you for your kindness but out of curiosity." Lucas looked at JJ." You weren't a slave like the other two Cartus were you?"

"Oh, they told you about that, huh? Not surprised." JJ smiled. "Well, if it makes you feel any better, no, I wasn't. My parents were, but they escaped it before I was born."

"That's good to hear, I would have never had thought that my kind enslaved yours. To hear that from those two it will take a while for me to get over."

"That means you're one of the good ones." Aya smiled at him. "We'll be on the bridge. Take care of your friend. You can ask the computer for coffe. Tastes like dirt but it is good for sobering up."

“I appreciate it, right then.” Lucas helped Cathy to the door.” Come on Cathy, time to sober you up and get you back to your senses.”

The ship made its way to the planet the Dondondari was hiding out on, the planet a reminder of an admirer and friend Aya had lost. The had gathered most of the crew for this one. The man was paying well, likely with ill gotten gains from his time with Solex, but any chance to stick it to Solex was worth it. The ship itself landed on the planet, JJ stepping out with her crew to meet the client.

On the other side of the shipyard Roberta landed, the planet reminded her as to why she didn’t deal with Pikko much. While this time she didn’t have back up and was alone, she decided to go back to her assassin training and stick to crowds and blend in. Roberta put on a black wig and blue dress and put on make up to hide her red parts, as for her tail she wrapped it underneath her dress.” Alright time to do some scouting.”

Everyone seemed on edge. Evidently, the target wanted it this way and had spread word that Solex's assassins might show up, as well as spreading false rumors to make it harder to track him down. He knew the game and played it well, but Roberta was an expert.

"Hey, pretty lady." She looked down to find a Pickio guard smiling up at her. "You lost? In need of an escort?"

“Hum that depends, I’m new to this planet and I’m Looking for someone, his name is Victor know him.” I don’t have time for this, easy Roberta he might be helpful if not you’ll kill him.

"Victor, huh? So not a Pickio." The guard looked a bit disappointed that she was looking for someone else. "What are you looking for him for?"

“Non of your damn business that’s what, do you know we’re he is or not?”

The guard snorted, and turned around. "I know where a Victor is. But I don't tell rude Hambi that don't know how to treat men of the law with respect..."

Roberta sighed in annoyance.Save your strength Roberta no need to cause a seen right now. “Right um sorry about that it’s just that I really need to know we’re he is, and I’m in kinda a rush.”

"Well... is it a dog man you're looking for?"

“Yes I’m looking for a Dondondari, do you know the man in question?”

"Maybe. My memory is a little bad right now though..." He glanced back. "Maybe a few credits will help me remember. Or... if you don't have the money, you can follow me into that alley and... pay me another way."

Roberta looked at the ally, looked like nobody would see them and if people heard something they probably wouldn’t help.” Let’s go into the ally, I don’t feel like wasting my money. Besides I could use the company.” She said smiling at the man.

The small, red officer rubbed his hands together and led her down the alley. "I have plenty of time, so let's savor this."

One they were further down Roberta used her mind control on the pikko.” Alright you little shit, your gonna tell me we’re is Victor!”

The simple minded Pickio groaned and held his head. "He's in... a safe house... in the financial district..."

“Good boy, now then which safe house is he in and what kind of security does he have?”

"He's in the... central building on... Webly. It's using a... Pickio-Deli restaurant as a front. He... no... can't..."

Roberta raised her eyebrow.” He can’t what, answer me you little runt , what can’t he do?!”

"Won't... endanger... officers. So... all... bounty hunters... and mercs..."

She sighed.” Great mercenaries and bounty hunters, how fun.” Roberta then rammed the Pickio head into a wall knocking him out.” All right then let me go and have a looks see, can’t be that difficult. If he’s using a restaurant as a front might as well eat while I’m here.” Roberta walked out the ally and made her way to the financial district and went into a Pickio restaurant.

"Hello!" the attendant/proprietor/cook said with an unusually friendly tone. "Come in, come in! Sit down! We have human sandwiches! You like sandwiches, yes?"

“There good yes, are you ok buddy you seem rather tense.”

"I'm fine! Just fine! Lots of... lits of customers today, is all. Has me busy, very busy!" Sure to his word, there were a lot of people in the restaurant. An unusually large number of them were non-Pickio. Were they really customers? "So, what can I get you? We have hot sandwiches too!"

Roberta used her empathy ability on the host.” You will calm down, and be relaxed. Now then I would like a nice chess steak sandwich if you don’t mind.”

"You got it," he said more calmly. "And for such a pretty lady, it's on the house."

He walked to the side to fire up the grill. While she watched him cook, she heard a familiar voice from a nearby table. "Do you really think she'll come?"

"I have it on good authority that she was contacted."

When Roberta turned around she saw Aya talking to her target, the very sight of Aya started boiling her blood. But she calmed down and just decided to listen to there conversation.

"I just don't get it." Aya rubbed her chin. "Why go after one of Solex's targets if she was dismissed from his services?"

"Solex still pays good money," another bounty hunter suggested. "And didn't you say it was a sad parting for them?"

"As sad as being whipped until one is kicked out can be. Still..." Aya leaned back. "She could also be doing it because she's loyal to him. He did let her live after her betrayal. Even let her leave with those kids. I wonder what she's been up to..."

Roberta cracked open a beer and took a drink from it. Hopefully by the end of this killing everyone here, and adding your head to my trophy rack, but for now I need to play this calmly and not act out.

"Are you okay, miss?" the proprietor asked as he brought her food. "You seem... tense."

“Ou just had a bad feeling is all nothing to serious. So there’s a reason for all the mercenaries?” She said taking a bit of her sandwich.

"Mercenaries? W-who said... anything about..." He wiped some sweat from his brow. "Okay, listen ma'am. If you're a tourist I don't want you to get hurt. There is a guy here with a price on his head and instead of the cops, the guy has a bunch of mercs here. No telling what trouble they're gonna cause. Probably more dangerous then whoever the dogman thinks is coming after him..."

Roberta laughed.” Ugh don’t worry about me I can handle myself, besides I’m amazed that he hired so many hunters. Do you know who they work for?”

"Oh, yes. I might not care much for them, but I keep up on things." He pointed to some Cartus. "They are with a branch of the Cartus Liberation Front looking for work to fund their efforts. Those Quin over there are with the Federbeld Organization." He pointed to the human next to Aya. "He works for the Scarlet Knights. Very prestigious bounty hunters, and very expensive. And the woman with him works for the Golden Wind. They made peace talks with what where originally seen as invaders and Primarch Talk before his... untimely assassination. Rumor is he actually fancied that particular Tamearin." He looked around. "Let's see... I see people from the Seventy-Sevens... the Qutaka... a couple from Ravenwood's Starkiller... so many different groups..."

Roberta smiled.” My my so many mercs, and all to protect one person, he must be scarred shit list to waist so much money.” She said finishing her sandwich.” Ou um can I have another?”

"Heh heh... I like a lady who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to ask for it. Sure thing." He walked back to the grill. "Just make sure you recommend me. Not like I get many tourist this time of year. Or at all. Pickio aren't the most popular out there, even on a planet like this. Could use all the advertisement I can get."

“Heh, I’ll be sure to thanks.” As the man left Roberta went back to listening to the mercenaries.

“Man I heard that Roberta is some kind of new species of alien, coming from Norsca.”

JJ nodded, having joined the others. "That's what we were told. She's a Tamearin at her base, but she was born to be some kind of super weapon."

“Wait Tamarin? You mean you’ve seen this woman?!” One of the humans said, suddenly everyone that knew of Roberta or rumors of her crowded JJ.

“what else do you know about her, what kind of psi on is she?”

“Does she have multiple armed?”

“What do you mean she’s a super weapon?!”

"Calm youselves, please." Aya stood up and looked over the crowd. "Roberta is dangerous, yes. I have peronally fought her one on one, and it was a close fight despite her already having fought before me. She is mainly a blue psion with some violet. Other then that, she was bred by some wack job scientist years ago to be the ultimate assassin. She knows a variety of fighting styles and can proficiently use practically any firearm. I don't know what she'll come with. She should be cut off from her main source of help, but she'll still be heavily armed and dangerous. Please, for the love of the Goddesses, do not underestimate her. I don't care if she is outnumbered a hundred to one."

Robert spit out her drink and was coughing. How the fuck does she know I was made in a lab, we’re did she get that information?!

"Ou come on she’s just one person, she can’t beat all of us?”

"Underestimate her at your own risk," JJ said solemnly. "She'll have no problem picking off you first."

The solder gulped down and was sweating a bit.” So um does this thing have a weakness, I mean surly she has to right?”

Roberta finished her second sandwich and asked for two more to go.

"I would say her anger," Aya said. "Get her good and pissed off. It's pretty easy with her. She has quite the temper."

The mercenaries then heard a bottle breaking, all turned around to see a blond woman who crushed a empty beer bottle with her hands.” Um sorry about that just, remembered something that made me twitch is all, can I get my check please?” She said in a calm manner.

Aya watched her closely with a suspicious eye as the Pickio handed her a bill for only two of the sandwiches and one of the beers. "I am glad you enjoyed yourself despite the rabble crowd about. If you're ever in need of something, just remember the Pickio aren't all that bad." He laughed. "Just avoid my son! He's with the city patrol and kinda gives our people a bad name! Bet he'd have eyes on a beauty like you in a second! Ha ha!"

“Ou That was your son I ran into, don’t worry he tried talking to me earlier but i just ignored him.” Roberta put down two hundred credits.” Ou and keep the change.”

"Wow, really? Thanks!" He took it before she could change her mind. "Please, come again! You're always welcome!"

“I’ll be sure to come again.” She then head to the exit, but before she left she noticed Aya looking at her. She just winked at her and left.” Ou it’s gonna be fun killing them all, but I have to play this smart first things first I need some alone time with one of the mercenaries just enough to tell me what I need.”

Aya watched as she walked out and said, "Stay on your toes."

"Why?" JJ looked towards the door. "Did you see something?"

"I don't know. But it occured to me she might try a sneakier approach this time. Just because she was blatant with death threats and bodies last time doesn't mean she will be this time."

"You're all paranoid." The man from the Scarlet Knights stood up. He was a tall, fit man, with a dashing smile and well groomed brown hair. He pulled out a cigarette and added, "If she is even here and scoping out the place, she'll see what she's facing and give up."

He walked towards the door. "Where are you going?" Aya asked.

He laughed and looked back. "Just because I'm not paranoid doesn't mean I'm not cautious. You have successfully rattled me. I'm going back to the ship to get a bigger gun."

He walked out of the restaurant and headed towards the docks, taking a long drag on his cigarette and sighing. Alone, one would see he was more nervous then he let on.

Roberta just looked at the man from the ally ways, thinking on how to approach this man. She coughed a few times and tried to mentally get herself into the personality of a more flirty woman. Alright Roberta, let’s just tail him for a little while after hearing all those stories about me from that bitch Aya, he’s probably scared hum maybe I could play the hore and get him that way? Well for now let’s just stay close and listen to him. Roberta tailed the man, about half way to the doc be for bumping into and knocking off one of his guns.

“Ou I’m so sorry about that, um do you need help?”

"Oh, please, I should apologize. I must not have been paying attention. I'm... preoccupied." He gave her a charming smile. "Though if you know the city better then I do, a guide to the ship station would be nice."

“Ou no problem at all I may not be a local around here, but I know my way around here just enough.” Roberta stared to walk with the man, she did come to this many times to collect money and do some jobs here.” Sooo I see that your very well armed, are you a mercenary?”

"Good eye, I am. Star hunter of the Scarlet Knights, the most prestigious group of human bounty hunters and mercs in this part of the galaxy! Not to... brag or anything..."

Her eyes lit up.”Ohh that’s impressive and you should be proud of that, my whoever hired you must be extremely worried if they hired you.” She said getting closer to him.

"Well... yeah, he is." He scratched his chin. "Have someone coming after him. A real badass. Not that I'm worried, but... you should probably stay out of the center of the city until the crowd of armed thugs clears out. Wouldn't want you to get hurt, Mrs...?"

“Anna you can call me Anna, and don’t worry about me I can handle myself just fine. I’m not a complete delicate flower.”

"Of course not. You seem fit and well toned. I mean... not that I was checking you out, I just... ahem... uh, Gabriel. M-my name, I mean..."

She smiled and grabbed his arm and leaned her breast into him.” Well I appreciate the compliment, but you look rather tense are you sure you ok?”

"Oh, yeah, sure. Just... not used to getting so much attention." He looked ahead and saw the ship dock, including his ship, a sleek, red cruiser withvarious black streaks and a picture of a fearsome medieval knight on the back. He had arrived, but was he really willing to let such a catch go. "There's my ship. You wanna... have a look inside?"

“Ou I would love to, and besides. I would like to make you less tense, you seem to be all wralled up. I could help ease the tension you have if you’ll have me.” She said smiling at the man.

He smiled back. "Alright. That... sounds like a good time." He led her up the ramp onto the ship, and headed towards his quarters. This woman seemed really into him with little provocation. Maybe she was a call girl... but she hadn't mentioned payment. Maybe she was waiting to discuss that. Maybe she just wanted a good time. Or maybe...

His smile dropped a little bit. "Just down this way. Want... anything to drink?"

“Me Ou sure if you want to give me one, do you have any rum?” She said smiling at him. hum so far so good, I just need to knock him out then I can get to work, I’m sure all the hired help were showed his address and I’m confident he has the address.

"Rum, huh? Sure thing." He stepped into the room and typed into his food replicator, producing a glass of rum. "This is an Earth brand. Very popular back home."

She took the glass and had a quick swing.” Wow this is really good, I’ve never been to earth I’ve heard it’s beautiful well some parts of it anyway.” She continued to drink.

"It's all so lovely. Almost as lovely as you." He sat down on a couch in hmthe room. "So... what did you want to do?"

Roberta put the drink down, and sat next to the man.” I’m here to help you relax, that’s all.” Roberta unzipped her dress and got on top the man.” Is that so hard to understand?”

Gabriel chuckled, lightly placing his hands on her hips. "Alright... let's have a little fun then."

“That’s a good boy.” Roberta kissed Gabriel, while she was doing so her eyes turned blue and she used both her suggestion and her mind control ability.” Ou baby you are quite the lover aren’t you, you were so forceful and dominant. Heh guess you really need that break huh.” Roberta kissed his neck and her tail started to move to his throat and wrap around it, she then squeezed on his neck chocking the man.” Don’t worry baby, this is nothing at all. This is just me trying to make you cum a little faster, all your gonna remember from this is how you ravaged me and don’t worry about paying me it’s on the house.” She continued to squeeze on the mans throat until he was knocked out.” Ugh that was easy it’s been forever since I used suggestion, now we’re are those weapons?” Roberta put her clothes back on and explored the ship.

She found the armory with little trouble. Ships like this were usually designed alike. What she did have trouble with were to other humans, and man and a woman, inside the room.

“Ugh I thought all those damn hunters were at the restaurant!” She whispered to herself.” Hum how do I engage these two.”

"Wonder what is taking Gabriel so long?" the man asked.

"Knowing him?" The woman laughed. "Probably picking up some cheap, trashy hooker."

The then heard a coughing coming from outside the room.” I will have you know, I’m a very classy hooker and I wouldn’t worry about your captain.”

They quickly turned, aiming high powered laser rifles at her. "You have to the count of three to explain who you are and what you're doing here before we fill you with holes!" the man shouted.

Roberta put her hands up, and pretend to look scared.” Ugh m...my name is A...Anna, and I was with your captain earlier is all.”

"Yeah, sure." The woman inched forward. "You think I was born yesterday? And where is Gabriel?"

Roberta was starting to get annoyed by the hunters.” He’s fine, he’s just in his room sleeping is all like I said I’m just a generous hooker.”

"Bullshit." The woman waved the rifle a bit. "Turn around. Cliff, call Gabriel."

Roberta eyes twitched.” Lady I’m warning you, you don’t wann go down this road. I told you your captain is fine and is sleeping.”

"Yeah?" The woman poked her in the chest and grinned. "And what's the dirty little whore gonna do about it?" Her eyes started to glow blue and she removed her blond wig revealing her white hair.” Else your head is gonna go through that wall, your not the first mercenarie I sent to the hospital and you won’t be the last. So I say again, your captain is fine and put your guns down.”

"You... that hair, you..." The woman stepped back in fear. "You're her, aren't you...?"

She smiled.” Roberta yes I am and I was gonna just sabotage your weapons, and kill you at the home of my target. But I’m in a bad mood.” She stepped forward.” So you better convince me why I shouldn’t kill you now?”

"Because we're the ones pointing guns at you," the man said nervously. "The bounty on you is huge, but that doesn't mean we won't kill you if you don't surrender!"

"Surrender me? Let me tell you this, i'm trying to be nice and not kill you. And just because your pointing guns at me doesn't mean anything, so i'm gonna give you a once in a life time offer. Take your people and leave this target, or you will die."

"Fuck you." The woman moved her finger towards the trigger. "And just die!"

Roberta quickly moved the woman’s gun to the side and punched her in the throat, when she grabbed her throat Roberta took the gun from her.” You just hade to be a hero didn’t you?”

"L-let her go!" the man said nervously.

"Shoot... her..." the woman choked out.

“Shoot me and you will garrote, that I kill you both right now. Or you could put your gun down and I can make you forget this hole situation.”

"Shoot... her...!" the woman repeated angrily.

"I-I can't! I might hit you!" The man's hands shook a bit. "I-if I stand down, do you promise not to hurt her?"

“For now, if you show up at that job you were given I’ll kill you then. But I’m not here to kill today, shoot me and you both along with your captain will die right here.”

"Alright, alright!" He lowered the gun to the ground. "Just let her go..."

Roberta let go of the girl and tossed her weapon to the side.” That’s a good boy now then I did promise I make you both forget this hole situation.” Roberta put the gun back into the woman holster and put her next to her friend. Roberta eyes glowed blew and she used her mind control and her suggestion on both of them, doing so severely drained Roberta. “You both wI’ll go back to talking about your captain, and preparing for you up coming mission. After words you will go and check on your captain, and wake him from his nap.” Roberta went back to her wig and put it on, leaving the two alone.

The two of them blinked tiredly, and looked at each other. "What... were we doing?" the woman asked.

"Talking about the captain, I think..." the man looked back at the weapons. "Looks good. Come on, let's go see if he's back yet."

As the two left there room Roberta quickly made her way down the ship, she saw the lounge were the ate the bar until finally making it to there weapons vault.” Ugh finally now then time to sabotage these weapons.” She placed several devices on the guns lockers each being a containers for Nano bots, once active they will go into the guns and disable the triggers. Once done the will recall back to Roberta.” Alright that should do it now then my little lovelies do your job.” She pressed the button and the bots got to work.

They made their way into the weapons, systematically disabling them one by one without leaving any sign that they were damaged.

As she worked, she heard some shuffling. Someone was standing in the doorway behind her.

“Keep calm Roberta don’t be hasty yet.” She said to herself as she turned around.” Hello who’s there?”

She had to look down. There was a small girl, no older then four or five, in a little brown dress gripping a stuffed animal, a bear Roberta believed. "Herro." she said softly. "I'm Justina. Whowa you?"

Roberta cold heart softened for the little one.” I’m Ashley, it’s good to see you why are you down here?”

"I was looking for mummy and daddy," she said softly, rubbing her eye. "They said they were gonna come get me when they was done looking at the guns... but they weren't dere when I woke up."

Roberta remembered the two people she saw earlier, and tapped her finger.” Ugh they are probably going to check on the captain to make sure he’s fine, why don’t you go and see.” She said smiling at the kid.

"Okay. Thank you lady." She started to walk away before looking back. "Are you the captain's fwend?"

“Yes and no, it’s complicated but don’t mention I was here alright little one.” She said rubbing her head.

"Okay." The girl smiled sweetly before running off, waving as she went.

Roberta waved back and the beep came from behind her suggesting that her bots were done, the then came out the weapons and returned to there canister." My job is done here, ugh i'm very rusty I need to take a nap. Tomorrow I need to scout the mansion and see how I can make sure my target doesn't leave this time." She said leaving hunters ship. As she made her way back to her ship she took off her wig and makeup and went to the communicator, she was showed her home on Terra and the preacher. "Hello father are my kid alright?"

Celentius looked at the screen "Ou Roberta the kids are doing fine, they are very pleasant children. Would you like to see them?"

"Yes can you please show them."

"Roberta!" They said excitedly, rishing over. "Are you okay?" Alex asked.

"I'm doing just fine you two, I'm just checking in making sure that your all okay and doing well."

"We're okay." Jessica said. "Did you get your target? Are you coming home soon?"

"Not yet i'm mostly checking on you two, making sure your not giving the preacher any trouble. And I missed seeing you two are you still teaching your brother Jessica?"

"Yes, ma'am." Jessie said with an eager nod.

"I am finally starting to understand it all," Alex commented. He frowned. "I wish you didn't have to do such a dangerous job. Are there a lot of people you'll have to fight?"

Roberta looked down.” Yes there’s more then I expected, they hired at least six different types of mercenary companies.” When she looked up she saw that the two were worried.” But hay come on now this me were talking about here, I’ll be fine I can handle a few dozen mercenaries.” She said smiling at the two.

They nodded nervously. "Just be careful," said Jessica. "And come home."

“I will and I do...” Roberta took a deep breath and sighed.” I love you both, don’t forget that.”

They nodded. "We love you too," Alex said. "Be careful. We'll hopefully see you soon."

“Don’t worry I’ll be back in another week see you then.” She ended the transmission and went to her room.” Ugh tomorrow is gonna be a long one, should start bright and early for it after all I need to scout my targets home.” Roberta set her alarm for nine in the morning and went to bed.

The next day Roberta was in her armor and was cloaked as she looked at his targets home. It was a mansion that with a large courtyard and several smaller houses on the inside, it looked like it’s own neighborhood then a home.” Glad to see we’re that money went.” She quickly jumped the gate and was inside.

In the main study, Aya paced back and forth. She looked at the client and said, "We really should go back to the safe house. There are too many places for her to infiltrate here."

“Aya even if she does infiltrate here, what can she do? There’s about six different mercenarie groups here, she’ll be surrounded and will have nowhere to go so relax.”

"You obviously don't know who we are dealing with, sir..." Aya sat down and tried to relax, taking a drink of water and sighing.

“I do know who we’re dealing with Aya was it?” He put his book down and sat across from her.” Back when I was under Solex there were a few higher up that found out my secret, and tried to use that blackmail me to do whatever they wanted. When I told Solex about it he sent her a lone Tamarin to hunt them down, it took her less then four days to do so. She killed heavily trained body guards and security officers, the news ran that story for months.” He took a deep breath.” So yes I have a good idea of who I’m dealing with and I will not cower in a box awaiting my death.”

"As long as you're sure." Aya shrugged. "Maybe you're right. I hope you're right. At either rate, I'd like to actually succeed in this mission this time." She lifted her glass and muttered, "At least it isn't an innocent woman and her children at risk this time..."

“This time? It sounds like you had a running with Roberta, from what most of the others say your group did fight her how many of you were there?”

"About half of our people," JJ answered. "Dozens more from another group. Though she had robots fighting the bulk of the group."

“Ah yes a small fraction of Solex forces, that sounds about right. I take it that Roberta completed her mission, and killed her targets?”

"Yes, actually." Aya raised an eyebrow. "That doesn't worry you?"

"Why do you think I hired so many mercenaries, why do you think I paid to have some of the best of the best to defend me. Because they take there job seriously and will defend me because there reputation is on the line, so while I am worried I do believe that Roberta will at least pause before attacking, and if Solex will attack me you lot can give me plenty of time to escape or take me with you." He said pouring himself a drink.

JJ smiled. "Well... at least he's confident in our abilities."

Aya nodded. "We do take our job serious. And we will do our best to defend you."

"I expect nothing less and I appreciate it your determination."

On the other side of the mansion Roberta made her way through the area, taking notes of the areas she was in as she continues her way through the area she noticed a balcony with someone outside." Perfect a chance for me to look inside and that balcony could be used as a snipers potion if they wanted to." As Roberta made her way up she climbed into the house and made sure to stay on the roof so no one could see her.

The man on the balcony looked out into the distance and sighed. "This is a waste of time. She's not coming..."

As she continued her way on the ceiling she then saw two other mercenaries.

"Man this is boring, from what that Cartus said that Roberta attacked the local police and strung them up, you think she will do the same thing here?" He said talking to bonny

"Don't know but she is a willy woman, if she truly is by herself then she might not do that this time. Hell Solex and his ships could show up, but regardless keep your guard up." She said leaving the man and returning to her post.

"Humm great looks like the JJ has bought the same crew she did last time, humm but with way more then the last job I need to find a way to give me an advantage." She continued her way through the mannor where she stumbled into the library and saw the same mercenaries she saw yesterday.

"You really should settle down with someone," the man said, holding his wife's waste. "Better then random girls with who knows what diseases."

"Hey, this girl was different," Gabriel insisted. "Cute, charming, sweet." He scratched his head. "Too bad I... can't remember the experience very well..."

“Well glad to see that my survives were enjoyable for him, glad to see that I still got it." She continued to move through the room but stopped herself and continued to listen to them..

"Are you sure about this," Gabriel asked. "This being your final mission?"

"We've made enough money to live comfortably," the woman said. "Besides, we can't keep dragging her along these dangerous missions. If anything were to happen to her..."

"If anything were to happen to us..." her husband added.

“Humm I could use that.” Roberta continued to search the house until she found a door to the addict.” Ah perfect.” As she made her way down she saw Bonny and Olivia talking to the rebel Cartus.

“Hay is there any way we can help you two?”

Olivia rolled her shoulders. "Well, you can start by not causing anymore trouble then you usually do," she said flatly. "We in the GFP are trying our hardest to get the Shinso to abolish slavery, but everytime we make strides, you kill someone or blow something up that pisses them off and screws up our progress. Haven't you ever heard of a peaceful rebellion?"

One of the rebels scoffed. "Typical GFP Cartus. She has it good, so she forgets about her own people's struggles. Just because you've been pampered your whole life doesn't change the fact that the rest of our race is suffering!"

Olivia's eye twitched. "Pampered...?" she snarled out.

Bonny put her hand on Olivia shoulder.” Easy kitty we can’t hurt our allies here, look I get it our people are suffering and believe me I completely understand killing Shinso. And setting them on fire, breaking there bones and there spine and.” Bonny started to giggle to her until Olivia slapped some since into her.” Thank you Oily, the point is if you want change sometimes the peaceful way could be better.” She said trying not to throw up at the thought of being nice to Shinso.

"Just wish the Shinso agreed with you," the rebel muttered. "Last time one of our groups tried a peaceful protest, they immediately brought out the firehoses and sprayed us until we had to run off. That shit hurts too."

Bonny eyes twitched.” Look you must be better than them, you.” Her hands stared to twitch.” I can’t say it, I can’t look if you’re gonna attack them at least do it with out blowing up something major.”

Olivia sighed. "Look, just... if I survive this, I'll put a word in with the GFP so you'll have protection at your next rally."

"And if that doesn't work?" the rebel pushed.

Olivia smiled. "Then I guess you'll have a good excuse to blow something up. Just... make it something small."

“I recommend cherry bombs there quiet useful, and they don’t do as much damage.”

As Roberta heard all that she made her way to the back of the room and saw a generator.” Ah something for when the lights go out good if I wanna I wanna take out the lights permanently, Humm.” Roberta looked through the room again and saw that the mercenaries were gone, she went to the vents and released dozens of slider drones to make out the mansion. God do I miss using these, seeing as I’m not gonna get any alone time with any mercenaries this will have to work.” She went back to the ceiling and made her way
out the mansions. After several hours her spiders came back and returned to there canaster uploading it to her.” Ok I now know what I’m dealing with time to cause some havoc.”

Four days later

Breaking news, there has been a bombing attack at the several ship stations. Currently we have hundreds are wounded, we don’t know if there are any dead but we will keep you posted.”

Bonny started to shake.” She here.”

Aya folded her arms. "She's been here for a while. This just means she's going to make her move soon."

One of the Quinn’s looked at the tv.” She will destroy a ship port, for what reason?”

“To make sure no ship can enter or leave here.” There client said.” I can’t escape now there is to be no flying until this is done, quiet the master stroke I say.”

“But to hurt so many, why would she do this?”

"Because a mission is a mission," JJ answered. "That's all that matters to her, completing her job. Nothing else matters, and she'll cause as much collateral damage as she deems possible. She'd probably blow up the entire coty from orbit if she could just to get one target. She is a ruthless killing machine. Sometimes... I wonder if she is just as bad as Solex..."

Bonny then stood up.” Alright people time to earn your pay, if this is like last time, she won’t wait much longer to attack so get into position!” The other mercenaries went to there post while there client looked Ou the window and to the sidewalk.” Um guys.” He pointed out and Aya saw Roberta in civilian cloths looking at her.

Aya huffed and walked to the door. "Stay here," she told the others.

"But..." JJ started.

"Please, just... stay here," she insisted before walking out and out of the mansion to meet the woman.

Roberta smiled.” My you don’t look to happy to see me, is it because you know your gonna die?”

"I'm not happy to see you because you're here to kill another person, and have caused even more chaos." Aya folded her arms. "Why? Why do a mission for Solex after he threw you out? Humiliated you in front of everyone? You can thank a former partner of yours for letting us know what happened."

“Emile.” She sighed.” I love that man but he doesn’t need to be spreading my business, now as for why I’m doing this. That a very stupid question, that man saved my life and I’ll do anything for him. He only did that because I helped you, and treason is a good way to get you killed. But he didn’t kill me, he let me go I don’t expect you to understand my family and there reason.”

Aya sighed. "I understand better then you think." She shook her head. "Fine. But I'm not letting you get this one."

“Aw it’s cute you think you can stop me, but the only reason I’m here is to give you all a once in a life time offer. And that is to leave if any mercenary has kids I’m giving them an option to leave.”

Aya narrowed her eyes. "So now you're going to take advantage of peoples emotions? Is there any low you won't sink to? Why do I get the impression you're talking to certain individuals specifically too?"

“Your right I’m talking to those that are in the scarlet knights they have a little girl no older the four or five, I’m giving them that chance to take there kid and leave.”

Aya looked back as the two stepped out of the building. "You think you canuse that against us?" the man asked. "You'll be our last, greatest bounty, and you'll pay for her college eductation."

“That’s funny you think you could beat me, I’m giving you a chance to walk awake and be with your child.” She then looked at the mansion and the others mercenaries.” All of you if you care for your children you will take this opportunity to leave, if not then I will kill all of you even if you begged me to spare you.”

Despite her intimidating words, no body left. It seemed as though they felt numbers would save them. "Why are we even talking to her?" a cartus asked, stepping out and aiming a gun at her. "Just die."

When she fired at Roberta, she quickly pulled out her sword and deflected the laser into the window." Really, did you think that would work?" She then looked back at Aya." I tried to spare you, do know that. Ou and if your curious my kids are fine, they actually say they loved me." Roberta turned around and walked away." You have three hours to re think my offer, and run while you can."

"Wait a minute!" Aya glared forward. "Gimme one good reason we shouldn't all attack you right now!"

Roberta didn’t turn around.” Really, what’s stopping me from going into a crowd of people, are you really gonna gun down unarmed people?”

Aya squeezed her fists until her knuckles turned white. "Fine! Three hours, then you die!"

"Ou no i'm not gonna come after you in three hours, no no. That time is to make them reconsider, but I will handle you at my own time enjoy your time wisely." She said never turning to see Aya, and just walked away.

"I hate that woman." Bonny said leaving the window.

"Not her biggest fan myself," JJ said. "What should we do? Maybe those with kids really should leave..."

"If they need to yes, I can pay those with family's. If you do have children I could pay you to and you can leave." The man said to the mercenaries." You have family's to think about, and that woman lives up to her word she won't give you a second chance."

"You don't think she'd... go after the children, do you?" One of the Quin asked.

"Probably not," Aya said, returning upstairs and sitting down. "She probably would have taken then hostage by now if she planned to. Guess that's one thing she has on Solex. Bet he wouldn't hesitate." She looked at the couple from earlier. "Go. Be with your child. Leave Roberta to us. She's going down... even if I have to finish off by myself."

"Hay come on now Aya your not alone." Bonny said putting her arm around her." We have back up this time, there's no way that Roberta can go through this many mercenaries, probably look the point is we have a lot more back up this time."

"At least I have more faith in them then Ravenwood's group..." Aya muttered. "Alright. We should get everyone who wants to leave out of here and prepare for her return."

“Right so everyone that wants to stay wait here and I’ll pay you everyone Else get into position.”

Everyone else fanned out, taking secure positions around the mansion. A few left, afraid for their families after the warnings, including the couple that were mortified thar Roberta had been so close to their child. All in all, though, there wasn't much of a loss, and every place was secure.

Everyone else fanned out, taking secure positions around the mansion. A few left, afraid for their families after the warnings, including the couple that were mortified thar Roberta had been so close to their child. All in all, though, there wasn't much of a loss, and every place was secure.

Back on her ship Roberta looked through her armory.” Ugh can’t kill them there’s way to many, but first and foremost I need to take some out at a distance.” Roberta grabbed a plasma sniper rifle, her two swords a dagger and a grappling hook.” Alright then, before I go and do my job I need to turn the lights out.” Roberta left her ship with another canaster of drones and left her ship.

Many hours had past since Roberta warning, and most were getting nervous.” God I hate this about her, the waiting, taking her damn time Bonny said.

"Try and relax," Aya said softly. "She wants everyone to tense up. You can't let her get to you."

“I know I get that but, what the hell could she be up to? She has no back up that we know of, we have the numbers advantage even if she snipes us we can still get her.” Bonny rubbed her head.” Sorry Aya I’m just after the first time we fought her, do you think you can beat her this time?”

Aya looked down at her hand, violet energy crackling in it briefly. "I don't know to be honest. But... I have an idea on how I can make sure I have a better chance."

The lights then suddenly went out.” What the hell?” When Bonny peeked outside the powers out, on a station? That’s not a good sign.” She the quickly got away from the window.” Roberta how the hell did she cause a blackout?”

"She must have hit the main substation." JJ checked her side arm's ammo. "At least we know she's coming, right?"

The then herd gun shots coming from outside.

Across the street on the roof was Roberta who took down the snipers who were taken off guard by the blackout. Roberta herself only had her helmet on, the helmet had infrared vision so she could see her targets. She then stopped firing and put a explosive trap on the door behind her, and went back to shooting.

A few minutes later the door behind her exploded as some of the bounty hunters tried to get to her.

Roberta then jumped off the roof the rest of her armor wrapping around her as she fell, once landed she made her way over the fence and cloacked herself once she entered.

"She disappeared!" One of the mercs shouted.

"Thermals!" Another cried out, grabbing a pair of thermal goggles and scanning for her.

Before he could shout her location her sword went through his mouth and he was slammed to the ground. Before any could shoot at her she quickly started killing one after another slicing some throats cutting barrel of guns and slicing limbs off.” I warned you to leave.” She said chuckling to herself.

"Get the client out of here!" Someone shouted.

"Shoot her! Just fucking shoot her!" yelled another.

A grappling hock was attached to a Quin and to the ceiling as he ascend his weapon fire at some of his own men, but most were still confused to were Roberta was and short the hanging Quin thinking’s it was her.Roberta then quickly made her way to the backyard we’re there were more mercenaries, she was a lot more stealthy as she cut the fuel line for the many ships there.

One of the mercenaries started to smile fluids and told the others to run.

“Ou come now your making it to easy.”

In the shadows, one of the Cartus watched the chaos silently, waiting for her chance before firing at Roberta from a distance.

She heard the gunshot and quickly jumped to the ground, much to the Cartus surprise she didn’t just cut it like that morning. Unfortunately for them both the shot hit the fuel behind Roberta causing a fire.” Shit.” Roberta quickly ran through on of the windows, of the manner and jumped into the Scarlet knights.

The married couple were missing, but there were still six of them, all armed to the teeth. Gabriel pointed his rifle at her before hesitating. "You?"

“Ou hello there baby I heard you enjoyed my survices, even though I mind controlled you.”

"Bitch!" He fired his weapon, but nothing happened.

She started to laugh.” Ou did you think I wouldn’t have done something while you left me on tour ship?”

He tossed the gun aside and pulled out a sword. "Everyone get back. She's mine."

Roberta rolled her eyes, and coughed.” Please Gabriel I thought that you liked me, you were saying how sweet and kind I was did I not give you such warm feelings?” She said in a cute voice.

"Fuck off!" He pointed his sword forward. "You used me. Not surprising considering what I've heard about you. You said you had kids too, yeah? Brainwashed them too? Or are they just brain dead to ever care about a soulless harpy like you?"

Under her helmet Roberta stopped smiling and pulled out both her swords, the eye sockets on the helmet started to glow blue.” Ou my kids were mafia children there dad was some big mob boss, so I attacked there home the first time and stole his wife she’s now a happy breeding cow with the pirates.” Roberta using her ESP ability was quickly on top of Gabriel.” The second time we attacked the station and killed there daddy, they would have been criminals one way or another.” Roberta quickly started to slash her swords at Gabriel.

"Hmph!" Gabriel dodged and blocked the attacks. He was good, better then she expected, though he was stuck on the defensive. "Little brats are probably as bad as you are. You like to make threats? Here's mine. Once we're done with you, I'm going to find the little punks and make sure they suffer with their complacency with your crimes. Maybe a few years in a juvenile detention center will make sure they don't end up a cold hearted murderer like you."

Roberta pupils got smaller, and to Gabriel surprise Roberta slashing got faster, while he was focused on the two blades in her hands he didn’t noticed the one on her tail and was stabbed in the legs for it.

"Damn it!" He limped back. "What's wrong? Can... threaten other people but can't take it yourself? You're a... hypocrite..."

Roberta then put one of her swords through his shoulder and pinned him to the wall, she then started using him as a punching bag hitting his ribs and face.” Nobody will touch what is mine!”

Two of the other mercs ran forward, one with a sword, the other with a large knife, set on protecting their captain.

Roberta without looking at the other two, used her tail to cut the hand of the knife user, and used her sword, to cut the others stomach. She then pulled her sword out of Gabriel shoulder and looked at the group.” Did you think that would work? I’m a blue psion I can see everything in this room and the next one, I see the firing squad beyond that door there.” Roberta stopped talking and could see what’s going on outside too, that the fire outside was about to reach the ships.” Ah come here for a second.” She grabbed Gabriel and propped him like a shield, the explosion had enough force to break all the windows and drive Roberta out of the room she was in and she landed on one of the gun men in the next room.

As she pushed Gabriel's charred, steaming body off of her, half a dozen men and women pointed guns at her head while the rest climbed to their feet.

Bonny and Olivia looked down at Roberta who slowly got to her feet.” JJ Roberta is in the main hall, and took out the garage.”

"We're on our way," JJ said.

"It's over," Olivia said. The only thing stopping her from simply firing was her status as a law enforcer.

“Blonde it’s been a while and I see you found yourself a dwarf Cartus I didn’t think they mad Cartus that small!”

“Uh oh, Olivia don’t let her get to you. This is what she does, she taunts and wants us to attack her.”

Indeed, Olivia grit her teeth and shook a bit. "You shut your mouth! You're beaten! How's that for being taunted!"

“She’s not beaten Olivia, just because she’s surrounded doesn't mean anything. We need to fall back to JJ and Aya position.”

But when Roberta moved, the other mercenaries started shooting her.” Don’t shoot!” Bonny yelled in a panic.

Roberta then used her bullet time, and her ESP abilities. She considered climbing the walls but that would take to long she then looked back at were she came from. “ Ok I could put a little bit of fear in them but deflecting there shots, I can then use that floor underneath them to block there view and climb up it Yea that will work.” Roberta said to herself, she then used her swords to start cutting/deflecting the on coming gun fire.

"Fire, fire! She can't deflect us all!" someone yelled as Olivia backed away. The others were in a frenzy, fired wildly.

Roberta continued to deflect until she went under neath them back to the room she came from. Manny looked down wondering if she ran back outside. Most that looked down had their heads cut off, and Roberta jumping on the rail. She used her grappling hook to hook two of the mercenaries forcing them into each other.

"That's enough!" Olivia shouted. "Everyone fall back to the safe room! Consolidate our forces!"

The mercenaries started to fall back and Roberta just smiled.” Ah someone with a brain, not like its gonna help you.” Roberta cloacked herself and jumped to the ceiling going after the mercenaries.

They gathered just outside a safe room, checking ammo and scanning the room.

"Leave." Aya stepped into the room. "I'll handle this."

"You can't take her alone!" JJ insisted.

"Group tactics aren't working. This isn't a problem we can just throw bodies at. If she gets past me, you can go back to the assault with her tired out."

"If she gets past you, it'll be because you're dead!" JJ insisted.

Roberta entered the area, and saw Aya talking to JJ.” Well look at what I got here, a little nobody.” She said to herself.

Aya's eyes immediately turned in her direction, as if sensing she was there. "Go, now! I'll take care of this!"

As the others started to go into the safe room the others just looked at Aya.” You better know what your doing Aya.” Bonny shouted

Across The room was Roberta decloacking.” Jon I’m coming for you, but first I gotta kill this Would be challenge.”

Aya cracked her knuckles. "This isn't going to be like last time. No backing down. No holding back. No falling back. I hope you're ready."

Roberta just started to laugh.” Ou your funny you barely won last time and I was weak, and yet here we are again me kill who knows how many mercenaries and you just been sitting on your ass. What makes you think you can beat me this time?”

Aya crossed her arms, looking unintimidated. "I know what to expect now, Subject 374. I know all about who and what you are. And I'm more prepared then ever to kick your ass."

Roberta eyes widened and her swords started to shack.” I thought I burned that facilitate to the ground, how do you know that title!?”

"We came across someone who knew quite a bit about your past. Where you're from. What you were made from. What you are. You're barely even a real Tamearin, huh?" Aya shook her head. "Never thought I could have this much pity for an enemy."

Aya just heard Roberta laughing.” Like I would want be a bland emotionless being, hate to break it to you I might have been lab grown but I am war forged. That child you think you know is long dead and has gained ten years of battle experience!” Roberta charged Aya and started swinging her sword at her.

Aya materialized a pair of swords to defend herself with. "You know," she said as she blocked. "It doesn't have to be this way."

“Will you stop trying to reach for something that doesn’t exist!” Roberta used her swords to lift Aya arms and used the blade on her tail to stab her side. “I am evil, do you not understand that?”

Aya grit her teeth. Her eyes glowed and a blast of telekinetic force pushed Roberta back. "I'm trying to give you a chance. Your last chance." Aya quickly pulled a medical patch out of her pocket and slapped it over the wound. "You are free from Solex now. You have a family. No matter how good you are, you'll die some day, even of not today. So why not try and better yourself. If being a Pon-Taer has taught me anything, it is that you don't have to be what others say you have to be."

Roberta just stood there.” Heh you are the dumbest person I’ve ever met, don’t be what others tell me if you know my experiment number that means you’ve seen what happened to me.” She lifted her head and stared daggers at Aya.” I don’t have be what others tell me, they made me this I have to keep fighting until I die. That is my purpose it’s why I exist, I must fight and kill until I die.”

Aya shook her head and sighed. "Fine. Then you die." She pulled out a pair of pistols, firing them at Roberta as she ran forward.

Roberta easily deflected the shots, as Aya got closer Roberta she started to slash her swords at Aya mostly going for her guns.

Aya actually just dropped them, knowing they wouldn't be much good anyway. "Just so you know..." She materialized a staff, knocking Roberta's arms up. Her own tail swung forward, jabbing a knife into Roberta's thigh. "I'm a quick study. And I'm not afraid to fight dirty if you're not."

Roberta gritted her teeth at having her own tactic used on her and head butted Aya, she started to cut into her shoulders sids and whatever was visible.

Aya levitated up into the air, getting some distance between the two of them. Panting heavily, blood dripping from her wounds, she smiled. "You know I... actually considered... gene mods in order to... beat you..."

“Aw I’m flattered I made a Tamarin consider using Gen mods just to beat me, your getting all flustered.” She said pulling out her rifle and started shooting at Aya.

Aya zipped back and forth at incredible speeds. As she did, the aura around her grew. Her wounds stopped bleeding. It wasn't regeneration. She was actually using micro-telekinesis to close her wounds. "I discovered something better. The pain of loss. And if I fail here, I risk losing too many people I care about to you."

“Well that’s all we’ll and good to bad it isn’t gonna help you.” She said still shooting at Aya.” Because unlike you I have kids that really on me, so if you wanna use that nonsense on me. I can’t die, and I have the skills to do so.”’she said firing again to get Aya to move and the moment she did she used her bullet time ability and fired at were Aya would be next if that missed she shot the ceiling hopping that debre would get her.

Surprisingly, Aya stopped moving entirely. Instead of dodging the attack, now that she wasn't bleeding anymore, she formed a massive shield that blocked the bullet. "Sorry." Aya floated down to the ground. "That won't work because I won't harm your kids. But you'll kill all my friends. And, unsatisfied with your revenge, keep on killing and killing. This ends now."

The shield disappated. Aya's eyes looked like a pair of purple fires. Several manifestations of her power emerged from her back, but instead of tendrils as usual, they were arms, each with a different kind of sword in hand, ten different weapons in total, all poised to attack.

Roberta eyes widened and she nervously chuckled to herself.” Finally something worth fighting.” Roberta eyes went blue and she used her ESP ability.” Come on then!”

Aya yelled out as she rushed forward, forming two swords for her own hands and swinging all the weapons at once.

Roberta blocked many of the strikes coming her way, but when one hit her she would back up. Then another would hit her and another and another until she couldn’t block anymore, and was getting hit constantly.

Aya burned through her energy fast but wouldn't give up. She was driven by her desire to save everybody. Save JJ. Save her friends. Stay alive so she could save Tobias. Again and again she beat down Roberta, screaming angrily the whole time.

Roberta continued to get pumbled until she used her bullet time ability on top of her ESP ability to make it easier to doge the onslaught, but she was playing defensively and couldn’t find some weak point. That was until she looked at Aya herself and saw the she herself wasn’t defended. All attack with no defense, alright then I just need to throw her off balance. Roberta dogged her last and lunged at Aya.

Aya gasped as Roberta tackled her to the ground. She stomped her foot on Aya neck and started hacking at the tentacles on her back, with each cut Roberta felt her strength fading until the only thing driving her was anger and adrenaline.

When the last one was done, Aya found the strength to roll away. She floated up into the air for a second before falling back to the ground. She stood there, panting and sweating as she held her neck, staring at Roberta to see what she would do next.

Roberta fell to a knee har vision blurry and the ground around her was covered in her own blood, she pushed the buttons on her armor to call for her ship. She then slowly stood up using her sword as balance.

"Oh, no... not again..." Aya practically whispered. She limped forward, coughing. Her throat felt crushed, and she could barely breath. Or was that the utter lack of energy? "Not... getting away... this time..."

Aya could hear the door behind her opening and the mercenaries started to poor out and pointing there guns at Roberta." Aya Bonny shouted going to her friends side.

Roberta just looked at her target standing behind the mercenaries." It's over Roberta, you are beaten."

"There is no escaping this time,"JJ said, rifle pointed forward. "Don't make this harder then it has to be." She looked back. "Sir, she's still dangerous. You should go back inside."

"It should be fine, After all she's surrounded and has nowhere to go." Roberta armor started to wrap around her were." You... Think... I wi.." Roberta fell to a knee." Will... given in?"

"No, we don't." JJ pulled out a specialized gun, electricity flowing through it. "Don't move or this will hurt more then it needs to."

They then all heard the sound of a ship, when they turned to look outside they saw a slick gray ship outside.

"You have three seconds to send it away!" JJ warned.

The ship tilted and started scanning the room, Roberta herself looked at JJ.” Go... To hell!” She pushed the button on her wrist and it fired at the ceiling.

Everyone dived for cover as the roof of the building exploded into pieces. JJ quickly stumbled to her feet and fired her at Roberta, her weapon essentially a massive taser meant to knock the woman out.

Roberta dogged it as best she could, but when she did she screamed in pain. As the ship continued to fire it found her target, and fired missiles at the buncker.

"No!" Aya shouted as several mercs and their client were caught in the blast. Despite her exhustion, despite her pains, she dove forward and jumped on Roberta, punching her in the face.

Roberta took most of the punches, but rolled to her side and give Aya a left hook. Once off her back Roberta moved her tail to her dagger and thrusted it into Aya back several times before kicking her off, she quickly used her grappling hook to grab on to her ship.

JJ pulled out another gun, aiming it up. She shot the ship, though it didn't seem to do anything. Dropping the gun, she ran to Aya's side.

The others fired at Roberta as she rose up to her ship, but soon she was out of range. With the shipyard a wreck, there was no way to follow her either.

When she got on her ship she went to her terminal and contacted Ash.” Roberta god you look horrible, are you alright dear?”

“Jobs done, but I couldn’t kill the others.” I couldn’t kill the others and was forced to run!” She said slamming her chair.” I’m not made to retreat!”

“Roberta the job is done you’re in pretty bad shape, look just get to your pod and rest.” The transmission ended and Roberta went to pod and put a breathing mask over her face, as the pod started to fill with water Roberta thought about Aya.” I will not run from you again.”

The others watched as the ship flew off, JJ looking down at her wrist device. "You're not getting away this time. Are you okay, Aya."

Aya slowly shook her head, panic in her eyes. "Can't... feel my legs..."

“That’s not a good sign, look we need to get Aya back to the ship.” Bonny looked at the rubble and thought of the Cartus rebels.” God damn it they didn’t have to die, this was to much even for her I didn’t think she would blow up the ceiling with her ship.”

"Should've... expected... anything..." Aya muttered softly, tears rolling down her cheeks. "Another... failure..."

She closed her eyes and fell silent. JJ checked her pulse. "She's okay, but her pulse is weak. Come on... let's get back to the ship..."

Bonny picked up Aya and walked with JJ and Olivia.” You know she had to get this from somewhere, is this what it will be like fighting Solex? If so we need to impress our Norscan representatives. Olivia what do you think, still think we’re dealing with regular pirates because that was Solex second in command.”

Olivia sighed and shook her head. "No. You win. I'll do everything in my power to get the Norscans..."

“We will get the Norscans to help us out, I’m gonna swallow my pride and help in the effort.”

The others nodded and boarded the ship. While Aya was brought to the medbay, JJ quickly plugged her wrist device into the computer and smiled as a light lit up on the navigator. "See you in a few days, bitch..."

Roberta landed back we’re Ash was there to meet her.” Welcome home my dear, nice to see that your in barley any shape. Ugh you can’t keep doing this Roberta.”

“Doing what?”

“Your not a weapon or a monster, you’re a person to.”

“I have no feelings, I don’t care for others. I’m just an assassin.”

“Really tell that to them.” Ash brought in Jessy and Alexander.

They rushed forward and wrapped their arms around her. "You're home!" Alex shouted.

"We were afraid you were dead!" cried Jessie.

Roberta didn’t hesitate to hug them back.” I’m not dead in serious, pain but not dead.”

“So you don’t care about them huh? I’m mean you’re an assassin after all, there just two munchkins that I can send to the minds right?”

Roberta brought the two behind her and pulled out her sword.” I thought not, her you two tell her how worried you were.”

Jessica looked up at her. "When we heard how badly you go thirt, we were afraid you wouldn't make it back..."

“Please don’t, Ash don’t make me feel worried about them.” Roberta said with her head down.

“No Roberta you need to hear them, and how worried they were for you.”

"Roberta..." Alex took her hand. "Please... we don't want to lose you. What will we do without you?"

Roberta still had her head down, and she started to shake. She removed her arm from Alexander and had them near his throat, but she couldn’t harm him instead she just hugged them both her tears going into there shirts.” I’m sorry, I’m so sorry for making you worry.”

They hugged her back tightly, closing their eyes and squeezing her as hard as they could.

“Aw isn’t that just sweet, a heartless assassin with no one started caring for kids she kidnapped. Roberta take some time off, I will talk to you again when your healed.” Ash said leaving Roberta to her kids.

"You should take a lot of time off," Alex said softly.

“Ugh fine once I’m healed up will go somewhere fun, maybe a circus or something. Or whatever parents do with their kids.”

There coming for you Roberta

Roberta's Home
One week after her last mission...

Jessica's head and hips swayed back and forth as she hummed a jaunty tune. The mood of the young girl was high, a dark juxtaposition of the mood of most others who knew Roberta, as she was blissfully unaware of the pain Roberta had caused. In Jessie's mind, Roberta simply had a difficult job. She knew it was morally wrong and involved hurting others, but she and her brother were able to unconsciously convince themselves that her victims somehow deserved it.

She hummed and danced lightly in the kitchen as bacon sizzled before her. She flipped a couple pancakes and glanced over at Alexander, who had been given the easier job of scrambling eggs. As promised, Roberta had taken some time off to recover, and the pair were using the opportunity to let her sleep in and cook her breakfast for a change.

Roberta slept in her bed and dreamed about her time as an experiment. A woman in a lab coat looked at her, she dreamed about every time she made a mistake she was electrocuted and if she did what she was told like kill certain other kids there she was filled with dopamine.

The aromas from downstairs filled her senses, awakening her from her dark dreams and bringing her into a brighter reality. A cool breeze blew in from the window, bringing with it the sounds of spring time birds chirping cheerily.

Roberta looked outside with a blank expression, but smelled beacon coming from down the stairs. She slowly made her way down and looked into the kitchen.” What are you two doing?”

"Cooking for you." Alex smiled at her, bowing his head respectfully. "I made the eggs! And I didn't drop any egg shells in this time."

Jessica placed a staked plate at the end of the table. "Please, eat."

Roberta just looked at the two.” You didn’t have to do this for me.” She said with no emotion.

"I know," Jessica said bluntly. "But we wanted to. You feed us all the time, we felt like we could treat you for once."

Roberta started to smile at the two, so she sat down grabbed a fork and started eating.” Humm this is really good you both did a really good job.” She said still eating.

They smiled at each other before sitting down to eat with her. "So what are you going to do today?" Alex asked. "Are you feeling better?"

“Not much better I can walk on my own so that’s good, but it’s still gonna take me a while to heal fully. My plan is to rest and heal my wounds, unless you two have something else in mind?”

They exchanged another look. Hesitantly, Jessica said, "They... did just open that new amusement park the next town over, but... we understand if you can't..."

Roberta looked confused.” An amusement park, what is that?”

Alexander scratched his head. "You don't... it's, like... a place you go to so you can... have fun. It has rides to go on, and games to play, and treats to eat, and stores with fun things to buy. I really want to check it out..."

"...but we can do it some other time," Jessica quickly added. "There is quite a bit of walking involved and some of the rides can be... bumpy. Please, just rest. I'm sure we'll get a chance to go some other time."

Roberta finished her breakfast and closed her eyes thinking, she hasn’t really done anything with the two. And it might have been the lack of childhood or her wanting to be nice to them for a change.” Get dressed will go there, I’m also curious to see what kind of place this is.”

"Really?" they asked excitedly. They quickly finished their breakfast and rushed upstairs to change before she changed her mind.

While she waited, the doorbell went off.

Roberta looked confused but made her way to the door but before she opened it she asked.” Who’s there?”

"This is a nice house," a familiar male voice said. "It's as big as mine... I think. Haven't been there in a while. They tell me it's nice though." She could hear the sound of a lighter being opened. "Solex has a pretty good pension plan, huh?"

When Roberta opted the door she saw the leader of the Ravenwood mercenaries.” You have five seconds to explain why you’re at my house.”

"Alright." Sirius lit his cigarette and smiled. "Do you mind if I spend those five seconds inside? It's a little drafty this morning."

“Your fine right out here, and you best get to explaining because your almost out of time.”

"I have information you might find useful. Important information that concerns your wellbeing... and the wellbeing of those close to you." Sirius kept smiling. "Please, no need to be rude. I'm not here to kill you or anything. If I was, is magnificent building wouldn't be here anymore."

“Fine then come on in.” Roberta allowed the man to enter and they sat at her breakfast table.” Alright get to talking.” She said putting the dishes away.

Ravenwood sighed as he sat down. "So fussy." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a data pad. "You'd think you'd be more cheerful given your recent win."

“It was not a victory, I was forced to use my ship to kill my target. I’m an assassin me doing that was insulting.”

"But you did kill your target. And you beat Aya Me, right? Most people would see that as a win, you know?"

“I lost to that woman she beat me, and I had to use my ship to kill my target because I couldn’t. That is a defeat to me, now why are you here.”

"Just wanted to share some things with you. Thought I owed it to you, considering our previous arrangement made us such close friends." He flipped through some files. "And you did beat her, or at least you came out on top. At least you can still walk." He cleared his throat as he came across a medical file. "The facilities on the Golden Wind weren't fit to treat her, so she was rushed to the local hospital. Unfortunately, because of the damage to the city's power supply, their facilities weren't much better, and with the Golden Wind damaged in the attack on the ship docks, they couldn't rush her to an another hospital."

He looked up. "She had the usual. Lacerations. Bruises. Broken bones. What is of interest to you might be that she overloaded her psionics trying to beat you. It'll take quite a while for them to recover. What won't recover... is the use of her legs. Half a dozen stabs to the back with a large dagger took care of that."

“Hum so she can’t walk again, it’s not like that can’t be fixed with cybernetics or augmentations. So I paralyzed her big whoop.” She said cleaning the plates, but she was annoyed that she may have lost her rival.

"Please, you know as well as I do that, as a Teamearin, she won't get those done." Sirius placed the pad down. "But why not seize this opportunity? You might not be in the best shape, but she was your only real challange. With your skills, you're more then a match for the rest of the crew. I can tell you where to find them, and you can break in there and kill her! Kill the rest of them too while you're at it! Get your revenge!" He leaned back. "Except the captain. I'd prefer you leave her alive."

Roberta slammed her knife down into the table.” Because she was my only rival, if she truly will not fix herself then I’ve won and there’s no point going after them. Besides I have something more important to do and that’s go to an amusement park with my kids.”

Sirius stared at her for a few moments, blinking several times. "Go to an amusement park... with your kids...?"

“Yes I’m going to an amusement park with my kids, to which they don’t hurry up I might change my mind.” She shouted.

"Almost ready!" Jessica shouted down the stairs.

Sirius sighed and chuckled, standing up. "Then I'll leave you to it." He walked towards the kitchen door and paused. "Though there is one more thing. You're not at all curious as to how I found you?"

“I’m assuming you have people watching me, though it did come to mind as to how you found my home?”

"I have spies everywhere, or at least potential spies." Sirius turned back and leaned against the doorframe. "I contacted this couple in the Crimson Knights. They refused me at first, but after the death of the man that was supposed to put their daughter through college, they gladly gavs me the info I asked for in exchange for a generous payout. I was actually looking for information on the Golden Wind's crew, but they mentioned a rumor floating about that their captain had tagged your ship with a tracker."

He shrugged. "I can't break into their systems. Someone put up one hell of a firewall, and I have a feeling I know who. But tracing the signal that was being sent to their ship? Easy. They know where you are... and they're coming to get you, Roberta."

“Let then come, I’m not worried about it like you said I can beat them. I might be weak right now but they won’t capture me. No leave my home.”

"Alright." He turned and walked away. "Though I wasn't talking about the Golden Wind. You're a very popular woman. This location is gonna be worth a fortune..."

“To which if you sell that to anyone I’ll tell everyone that you let me kill a rich family while your men died.”

"Go ahead. We'll see who believes you at this point." He turned back from the door and smiled. "Don't worry. You're strong. You'll beat everyone who comes after you. But they'll wear you down. That's when I'll be back. Don't you see? It's perfect! I'll make a killing on all the mercs, bounty hunters, and rival pirates who hate you personally or just want a peace of Solex's former personal weapon, then make another killing bringing you in myself!" His eyes darted to the side as he heard the kids running down the stairs. "Until then, please enjoy your trip to the amusement park. Just remember..." His smile dropped and his expression was dead serious. "People like us don't get happy endings... and neither do those around us." He turned and shut the door as he left.

Roberta spit at the door and turned around to see The kids.” Ou um sorry about that um didn’t see you guys come down.”

"Is everything okay?" Jessica asked.

"We heard you talking to someone," added Alexander.

“It’s nothing well nothing that concerns you anyway, besides I need to get myself ready then will be off. So for now entertain yourselves while I get ready.” She said going up stairs.

They watched her walk upstairs with worried looks before walking into the kitchen to make sure everything was put away.

Roberta went upstairs and washed her face she then looked in the mirror and saw that the white hair she had was losing its color and going back to its natural blue, she let ran the water and started washing her hair getting the whit out of her hair and her hair was back to being blue." Hum it's been a while since I've seen my hair like this, hum kinda missed it." She left the bathroom and got dressed putting on a pair of jeans and a regular shirt and came back down stairs." Alright you two ready?"

"Whoa!" Alexander pointed. "What happened to your hair! It looks really cool!"

"Hum nothing, My hair has always been blue it's just that I used hair dye to make it white. Right I don't think you guys have ever seen me with my natural hair color then again I think not many have seen me with blue hair lately."

"It looks really good on you," Roberta said. "You should keepnit this way."

"Hum I might just do that, but any way come on you two let's get going." She said grabbing her purse and some pain pills. She took the two to her car and they drove to the amusement park.

JERRY as Jerry

Jerry

Jerry swung repeatedly into a punching bag, sweat flying off of his semi-chiseled body. He’s always had a decent metabolism, so working out has never really been something he’s needed to do, let alone with the office job he had before.

As he watched his arm slowly merge with the punching bag, he continued to think of how he could improve. How his reaction speed could increase. How he could deal more damage. How he could avoid more damage.

Not that he’s had too many issues with the last one.

Crack.

Ghost has grown more distant to him. Which is new, but then again, Ghost will be Ghost. She’s planning something, and it can’t be good.

Crack.

He needs to be stronger. He needs to be worthy of her trust. When the time comes...

Crack.

She’s smart, but there’s no doubt she’s planning something stupid.

Crack.

She needs to trust him.

Crack.

Or else.

---

Jerry looked down at his raw, battered, bloody, and bruised hands, offering no clear emotion. “Ow…” he murmured to himself before walking out of the room, a glint in his eyes.

The Norscan Council was in session, and High Councilwoman Minenda'tafar had a headache. The women before her bickered and bantered about whether they should help the Golden Wind or not. Arguments on both sides flew back and forth.

The GFP was the enemy.

The GFP's people were innocents who needed help.

Their sins brought their problems upon themselves.

The Norscans should be a symbol and an example.

Solex was a pirate in their space and thus their problem.

Solex was a remnant of the war that was never cleaned up and thus a Norscan problem.

It was all a loud mess caused by one little Bounty Hunter group, and it was giving Minenda a migraine. She was conflicted herself, but for her own reasons. On the one hand, she knew it would cost lives she wasn't sure she was willing to pay for someone else's battle. On the other hand, however, it would mean the GFP would be allowing Norscans into GFP space. Only a small force, but think of the intel they could gather! Could she really pass this opportunity up?

A feminine voice spoke loudly from a nearby room, a little fuzzy but that was likely due to the encryption they had. "Hello? Did I get through to the Norscans or have I overshot to some uncontacted alien empire?"

The room fell silent for the first time in hours, aside from a few murmurs. "Who... is asking?" Councilwoman Lenwa'meyer asked.

"I am Ghost. I am an info broker in the affected area that a pirate named Solex operates in. Your turn: Did I get the right place or are you a different selection of aliens? I hope I did, otherwise I have a few people I need to take my money back from..."

More murmurs. More voices of worry. The woman from before started, "How dare you...?"

She was silenced by the High Matriarch herself, the Lady Beladon'Dimascus, sitting atop her high throne above the others who silenced the room simply by raising her left hands. A radiant beauty in her youth, she was now a withered and worn woman of forty-seven with little time left. She used said time on missions of peace in the hopes that she would leave the galaxy at least a little better off then it was before her time.

"You have reached the High Holy Council of the Norscan Galactic Republic," she said in a rough voice. "If this was your intent, I believe you got your money's worth, my dear."

"Ah! Good. Apologies for the rough connection, but your electronic security is actually competent... So my voice may be a bit more static than voice..." Ghost cleared her throat. "I'm here to ask your help for something entirely different. Something bigger than a pirate going around and killing people. Something that, if not stop would destroy not only the GFP, but the Fee Mechanicum, The Shinso Confederate, and likely even your empire would fall after about... fifty years give or take a decade. Also do you have any food? I'm nearby in my ship- near a warp gate- but I haven't had the chance to sample Norscan food..."

Lady Beladon chuckled, and said, "I can offer you the finest in Norscan cuisine of you wish, my treat. But communicating like this is so... impersonal. Would you not prefer face to face communication."

"Careful, High Matriarch," Minenda'tafar said, not bothering to keep her voice low. "I believe I know this one called Ghost. If they are who I think they are, they might be quite the dangerous assassin. This could be a trap."

A snort, followed by a chuckle followed. "I'm crazy, not stupid. Having you all hunt me down with either your military forces or bounty hunters is not something I exactly want... and I'd rather not piss off a powerful empire." Ghost replied, a cracking noise heard over the static. "And I'd only agree if my anonymity could be guaranteed. I have made quite a few enemies in this business of mine and my only saving grace is that they don't know what I look like."

"Absolutely." The High Matriarch smiled at her closest advisor. "Remember my dear, trust is divine, and she makes a good point about why we should trust her." She looked up. "Dear... Ghost? I promise I will not divulge anything about you. In fact, if you wish, it will only be myself and one of my councilwomen."

"I'm fine if you bring others, just... keep it to five or less of your trusted council members. I don't like showing my face often. I'll take me an hour to get to your planet and from there I'll need a place to land. I apologize for the inconvenience that my arrival may cause you." A faint explosion sounded off. "And I apologize for my ship's audio during combat."

"Combat?" Minenda'tafar stood up. "Do you need assistance? Who are you fighting?"

"Slavers slash pirates. They are rather... persistent." Another explosion this time made the audio fade away into pure static for a couple seconds, some choice Fee swears being muttered as soon as the audio returned. After a moment, Ghost regained her cool, at least in her voice. "This is not exactly how I believe diplomatic proceedings should go... but yes, I may need some assistance. I'll stop masking my electronic signature so you can track me... but be careful. There are a couple heavily-armed destroyers, and I rather your people not die on my behalf nor the slaves trapped on one of the ships."

"Slavers? In Norscan space?!" Lady Beladon gripped the arms of here chair angrily. "Vile, petulant fiends."

"Please, Holy Matriarch, your blood pressure." The high Councilwoman pulled out a communicator. "Track the signal that is being transmitted here. Find out how many ships are there and send double that many. One of those ships is under attack. Escort it to the home world. The others are slavers. Disable their ships, arrest the crews, and free the slaves. Yes... yes... of course." She put the communicator down. "They are on their way. A small fleet is nearby. Hold on and focus on staying in one piece."

"Trying..." Ghost let out another swear as her ship's shields went down. "If I turn off weapons, I should be able to put that into the engines... Maybe life support and non-essentials would be good to power down too..." She murmured, no longer paying attention to the High Council.

Minenda'tafar picked up the communicator again and spoke into it briefly. "Can you last five minutes?"

"Theoretically? Yes. The chances of me making it without a shield are low. Likely, I'll be boarded, but I have about ten combat droids" Ghost answered truthfully, her voice growing more tense.

The next five minutes passed in tense silence as they waited to see if they would make it in time. True to the Councilwoman's words, several ships appeared on Ghost's instruments four minute and twenty seconds later. "Ghost?" the High Matriarch asked. "Are you.. okay?"

Intense laser fire echoed over the comms as Ghost answered. "We were disabled. And these bastards think they can overwhelm me with sheer numbers, knockout gas, and power armor." A pause. "Three of my robots have been scrapped, but I'm perfectly fine. I can hold out for probably another ten minutes before I'm overwhelmed. I'm just curious as to why pirate slavers are operating so far into your space... brazen by Solex maybe?"

"We intend to find that out," Lady Beladon stated. "If this was his doing... he chose the wrong people to pick a fight with."

Minenda'tafar sighed and said, "The ships should be upon you now. Just sit tight and let them do the dirty work."

The sounds of laser fire seemed to intensify, as a Male voice yelled, "Get back to the shuttle! We got hostiles incoming!"

"No... you're staying out of that fight assh-" The static ended as the line went dead, leaving the Council in silence once more.

All they could do is wait. The other ships made quick work of the slavers, outnumbering them two to one and with far superior firepower. "Report," the Councilwoman order.

A Norscan field commander took his crew and boarded Ghost's ship, slowly making their way to the bridge. "On board now. Looking for our guest... but it's a mess here..."

Bodies littered the floor of the ship, some of them still alive and groaning in pain. Seven robots lied in shambles as the field commander's team approached the cockpit, which had been locked down with a blast door that was almost destroyed in of itself. A voice called out, "Who's next?! You bastards going for a round two?"

"Is that you, Ghoul?"

"Ghost," a junior officer corrected.

"Right, right. It is the Norscan fleet. I am vice-commander Gerald'Bersald. Are you injured?"

"Yes... but the wound was cauterized." Ghost answered, her voice dropping the bravado in lieu of a more tired and worn out tone. "Are there any enemies left then?"

"None that aren't in captivity or injured." He looked back. "Clean the survivors up. Lock these slavers away and prepare them for trial." He looked back to the door. "We were fold you wish to... keep your identity a secret. If you wish, we can leave as soon as we have cleaned out your intruders."

A thump could be heard as something hit the ground on the other side of the barrier. "Yeah. I'll handle the corpses, so don't worry about them." Ghost sighed as she leaned against the blast door. "Thank you." The words came soft, almost to a whisper.

"Of course." The man turned to his subordinates and they quickly took care of the living, leaving the dead for Ghost. When she finally managed to get her blast door open, she found they had left behind a communicator to use until she got comms back up.

She quickly checked her body over, despite having already done so when the blast door came down. Broken wing. Mild concussion. Burnt cheek. She was lucky the pirate hadn't been more accurate. She sighed and ordered the three remaining battle droids to move the dead to the reactor. They'd be used as fuel... if the ship's engines even worked anymore.

Kindred Spirits, part 2

Once she had sorted out the initial mess she picked up the communicator and yawned, groaning immediately as a headache hit her. "Appreciate the handheld, Gerald. I take it you want a status report, given you know, you're military?"

"If you are up to it," the Norscan answered. "Are your engines operational? If not, we have our tractor beam on standby to tow you."

Ghost looked back at one of her robots who appeared to be salvaging the corpse of his brethren for spare parts to repair the ship. "Tow might be the better option. My robots are still trying to repair the ship, but I doubt they'll be able to fix the engines with their own parts."

"Very good." The ship shook slightly as the tractor beam took hold of it. "We have reported back. Your meeting place has been set up and the High Matriarch will be wait. If you don't mind my asking, why were these people attacking you?"

"Whenever I am going to meet a new client or associate, I learn about their likes and dislikes. From there, I try to do something that would improve our initial relationship." Ghost answered, another groan emanating from her lips. "I found out that some slavers skirted your borders and abducted your citizens. So, I tracked them down and attacked. They had hidden weaponry like I expected, but far more powerful than I bargained for. That... and I really don't like slavers."

A chuckle. "Trust me, we don't like them anymore then you. I believe the High Matriarch will enjoy your company."

"Oh? Tell me more about her. What's she like?" Ghost asked as she returned to the cockpit.

"She is... well, perfect. Loving and caring. A true mother or grandmother to everyone. She has devoted her very being to assuring peace and prosperity throughout the galaxy. Though she knows she will likely not live long enough to see our beloved whute psion, she does everything in her power to assure that we will be worthy when they finally come. I... I am sorry, I'm just gushing now, aren't I?"

"No... gushing has a lot of truths in it. Biased, perhaps, but truths nonetheless. When we meet, I'll be sure to show her the proper respect she deserves when I meet her... but in the meantime, tell me more about the Matriarch."

"Well... she has lived for ninety-four cycles. Forty-seven years in your terms I believe. So she is nearing the end of her life. She is charitable, loving. She loves sweets, even though they are not good for her at her age. She has never touched alcohol in all her years if rumor is to be believed. And she likes Cordani music."

Ghost nodded, forgetting for a second that the man on the other couldn't see her. "Right, right... thank you. I think I'm beginning to understand who she is as a person as well as a political leader. Anything I should avoid saying or doing?"

In a more serious tone, he said, "Just be polite but casual... but avoid angering her head Councilwoman. Minenda'tafar is less patient then the High Matriarch. Still, she is next in line to take the position. If anything, you should try to get on her good side as much as the High Matriarch."

"No. As much as I am willing to be diplomatic, I refuse to pander and present a kiss ass version of myself." Ghost replied, her tone far more firm than it had been. "Because then I will not think so highly of your government. And that will lead to a breakdown of our talks." A pause. "Thank you, Gerald. I'll make sure to be a bit more wary around the councilwoman."

"Of course. The important thing in the end, I suppose, is to be yourself. You seem a decent person so you should be fine."

Ghost turned off the communicator for a moment to laugh at the ridiculousness of her being a decent person before reactivating the device. "I appreciate your vote of confidence. But for now, I'm sure you have better things to do than chat with a wounded lady. If any issues arise on my ship, I'll be sure to let you know."

"Thank you. Sit tight. We will be there before too long."

The ship was towed straight to the captial city of the Norscan home planet, brought to the royal docking station. There, Ghost was informed of the location of a meeting hall in the Grand Cathedral of the Holy Psion. She was left to her own devices to get there, promised the way would be clear of prying eyes.

The Fee gave a sigh as she exited her battered and torn up ship, walking instead of flying thanks to her damaged wing. She did her best to hurry, but she still took in the opulence and beauty the Cathedral showed. Awestruck would not have done service to what she saw, now would it have been very accurate a word.

Nevertheless, she hurried to her meeting point, hoping that she was heading to the correct place and that her helmet hid her bloodied face well.

She found the room in question. There was no one in sight at the moment, but the table was filled with a variety of Norscan delicacies, the smells of which made Ghost's mouth water.

She looked at the table with longing, knowing full well that it was out of her reach for now unless she decided to be crafty and make a grappling hook out of nearby materials. She sighed, for once dismissing the ridiculous and insane idea. She had to present a rational mind to these people. She'd wait patiently for them to enter and then ask them to pick her up and place her on the table.

A door on the other end of the room opened, and she could see several robed figures enter. "Huh?" a high pitched but male voice said. "I am sure sensors said someone entered the room..."

"Down here. I'm not quite as big as your race is..." Ghost mentally sighed, used to how unobservant bigger races were when it came to size. "One of my wings broke during the fighting, so I've been grounded."

"Oh, dear..." The male Norscan stepped around the table and knelt down in front of her. "You require medical assistance then!"

"No, I'm fine. My wing is not really made of organic material. A better way to describe it would be I need repairs. I can get those when I head home." Ghost answered, her cracked helmet showing one glowing eye. "But if you wouldn't mind, a bit of help up into the table would be lovely."

"Sure, of course," the four armed man lowered his hands. "Do I... pick you up? I don't want to be rude..."

She looked at his hand, studying it for a moment before stepping onto it. She was surprisingly heavy for her size, more than likely due to the power armor she wore, making her akin to a rather large box of books. "I'm fine with it... but I might be a bit heavy for you to do so easily."

He tried to move his hand and frowned. "I... see that." He cupped the other three hands under the first and lifted her to the table. "Please, help yourself." There were two other female Norscans in the room, one quite elderly, watching curiously.

Ghost hopped off the man's hand and looked around at the various treats on the table. She hesitated only for a moment as she took off her helmet to reveal long-flowing hair that seemed to shift in color. It also revealed a nasty burn on her cheek and a gash on her the same side of her head that had stopped bleeding some time ago. She eyed the treats hungrily, but shifted her gaze over to the older Norscan. "The Grand Matriarch, I presume?"

"That would be correct," the older woman said, obviously concerned about her injuries but not wanting to call attention to them if Ghost didn't want to. "It is a pleasure to meet you."

"The pleasure is mine, although I wish it were under more favorable terms." Ghost offered an apologetic smile. "The business I came to discuss is not one to bring any sense of comfort or good tidings. It's a bad situation, one that threatens every nearby government, and could result in an ego maniacal person being the cause of a war that even the Fee Mechanicum and your Norscan empire wouldn't be able to stop if your forces were joined together." Ghost turned her gaze back to the treats. "Which one of these is the sweetest?"

The High Matriarch smiled nervously, walking over and pointing. "That bowl of round purple and blue treats. They are some of my favorite."

Ghost happily walked over and began munching on the treats she mentioned. She continued speaking as she ate, apparently not caring for manners. "So, your assistance in stopping this threat, given your help, would be greatly appreciated. You might even be able to get to the Fee and save most of them if you send your forces." She paused as she wiped her mouth with her armored hand. "I am fairly certain that you'll want to ask me questions, such as how do I know what I know and proof of my claims?"

“That would seem pertinent in this manner, yes," the other female in the woman stated, likely Councilwoman Minenda'tafar. "You come here dragging behind you slavers you claim to be invading our space and shout off bold claims that some force in your part of space presents a risk to us so great that we should assist you. You'll have to excuse me if I am a bit skeptical."

"Okay, good... Although give me a moment..." Ghost went still before her power armor opened to release her. She wore a simple black flight suit underneath coupled with a pair of nice boots. "So to back up my claims, I brought with me several recordings. I do run an information network after all." Ghost pulled out several fee-sized disks from her armor and held them up for the Councilwoman to take. "These are audio files, and written reports on a ship piloted by one of my clients... well, ex-client as soon as he learns about what I'm doing. You'll find detailed records of an attack and what appears to be... well, you'll see why I'm worried."

The male Norscan took the disks and started adapting the computers to them. "I get the sense that you are putting yourself in great peril by being here," Beladon'Dimascus stated cautiously.

"I am. All of my clients could band together and kill me or do things far worse than death if they found out." Ghost's perennial smile turned grim. "And that's if they don't use chips to hack my cyberware and dull my mind. Besides. Would you want someone who knows your secrets to go directly to one of the most powerful empires in the known galaxy?"

"No. Hence why your actions are suspicious," the councilwoman stated.

"Minenda, please. We must reserve judgement. If she is telling the truth, think of the risk she has taken."

"They're ready." The man stepped back from the computer so Minenda could have a look at what they were given."

What appeared to be a Fee children's cartoon began to play, apparently focusing on crafting. "There'll be no display for it, but enlarge the video by whatever means you can, and then type 'I'll miss you, Cake.' That'll take the lock off and show you the data I've hidden." Ghost advised, she turned her head to the councilwoman. "And as for you... just because I'm an alien who showed up to help doesn't mean I'm secretly here to do harm. There's easier, far easier ways to simply deceive you all then to bring you in a room together to make a decision. Especially since by doing this I have essentially reduced how long I get to live. So, for the sake of diplomacy, please refrain from calling me a liar, suspicious, or an untrustworthy individual. You have psionics, use them to voice your thoughts privately." The Fee crossed her arms as she stared down the councilwoman, practically daring her to challenge her viewpoint.

She looked like she might, but a quick glance from the High Matriarch silenced her, and she sighed. "Forgive me. You are... correct. It is simply my job to protect our High Matriarch and thus my job to be suspicious. It is nothing personal."

"It is personal to me. If you do send your fleets to aid everyone, someone has to buy you time. And since the GFP is in shambles, the Shinso and Quin are too busy hitting each other, and the Mechanicum too self-absorbed combined with the fact they are the logical next target... that job falls to me. Which means I'll probably die." Ghost stared into her eyes. "So money, knowledge, any resource I would've been interested in, has lost their value to me. After all, I won't be around to make use of them, so why treat them like they matter?" Ghost walked over to one of the treats, finally breaking her staring match with councilwoman.

Minenda'tafar rubbed her head and nodded to the male so her could do as instructed. "As I said... I apologize. I can... see how my suspicions would be... offensive."

"Please, forgiveness is a divine gift bestowed on sentient beings." Beladon'Dimascus stepped up to the table. "Besides, if you must blame someone, please place your anger on me. It is my open policies that have led to paranoia in an otherwise conservative and closely knit people. I am afraid I have tried to do too much, too quickly. But our lives are finite, as I am well aware of... and you seem to be as well."

"Yes... but I won't blame either of you. Scold, yes. But only to show you that your actions can have effects far greater than you know, mainly because you don't know exactly what someone has gone through when you talk to them." Daisy offered a smile, one that was practiced but also genuine. "You have no reason to trust me and this is our first meeting. I can understand the hesitancy to amass your entire fleet and send it to war. And I know I don't come off as the best individual, given that I... sound colder than everyone in the room and have an aura of a, as the humans would say, 'bitch'... but regardless, I hope what I have brought and the fact that any knowledge I may gain will... be rendered obsolete will help assure you both of my intentions."

As soon as the Male Norscan finished what he had been requested to do, various photos of individuals with a full psych profile, their expertise, and some of their background popped up onto the screen with a Cartus woman with an evil look in her eyes present among them. "The Cartus is the one you should be afraid of."

"Oh, dear... she looks quite devious. A smile that hides wicked intent. Who is she?"

"That woman had her head lopped off. And the head in question is in Captain JJ's possession." Ghost responded, going back to the treats to munch on the snacks. "I also know before her death that she was called Yip, an abused Cartus turned assassin. However, whatever this... thing is, its not her. And it displays psionic powers that don't show up on any psionic-measuring device. This creature kills indiscriminately, if the audio file is to be believed."

"And you believe this Cartus, or whatever she has become, warrants a full scale war against her alone?" the Councilwoman asked.

"I do. As an info broker, everyone has info, secrets. I keep track of my area and when something wanders in, I look it up, spending as much time as I can to confirm what it is." Ghost sighed. "I bug a lot of places. I even considered bugging your palace when I entered, mainly to hear your main decision with your council, or if it were to change due to a vote. The point is, I bug people and places. I bugged the Golden Wind and kept track of a few people, such as a Titania Regalia, a Tobias... forgot his last name, Aya Me, and many more. I like keeping tabs."

"Now, before you interrupt or ask me to get to the point, I will. There is a power that is utilized in a similar way to psionics, but... it is not psionics. It is... ah, fuck." Daisy frowned , stalking away from the treat and staring at the table as she continued her thoughts aloud, "I hardly believe what I know and I fucking collected it. If I try to present it without readjusting it into actual plausible parameters, you're just going to think I'm wasting your time at best or absolutely certifiable and dismiss it entirely at worst..." Her chest seemed to glow purple as psionic energy formed a stressball into her hands, one that was promptly squeezed. Hard.

"Please, calm yourself." Beladon sat in a chair. Because of her height, she still had to look down at the Fee. "You have our attention. Mine at least."

"I am interested," the male Norscan stated.

The High Matriarch smiled at him. "Perhaps we should slow down a bit. Let you collect your thoughts. Introduce each other. You said your name was Ghost, yes? As in the spirit of one who has passed away?"

"Correct, although Ghost is my alias. My real name it's Daisy Elentra." Ghost replied, still pacing and looking agitated.

The Norscans exchanged a look. "This really must be serious for you to be so open with your real name."

"It is. Mainly because I have records of psionic powers... but without the psionics." She paused. "I don't know how that could be possible, nor do I have the time to wait. This... thing wants to conquer, but not singular worlds, but systems, governments... everything. And I know for a fact that if everyone sits idle and waits... it'll get what it wants. The Mechanicum is arrogant and prideful, so much so that a single person as a threat is laughable. The GFP is broken, the Quin dealing with the Shinso."

"So, you see, you're my last gamble. I have no videos, only pictures and audio. I... hope that is enough to suffice your evidence bar."

The High Matriarch sighed. "You... I believe you. If what I know of you is true, this was a great gamble for you, and thus you believe everything you say... and so should I."

Daisy opened her mouth to plead, desperation in her eyes that was soon replaced with confusion, followed swiftly by gratitude. Words soon flowed after, "Thank you... I... I didn't think you'd believe me..." The Fee sat down, looking exhausted as if a huge weight had been removed from her shoulders but it had done its work.

"So does that mean we should forget about Solex and his pirate army in light of this other threat?" asked Minenda'tafar.

Ghost paused as she thought. "Not entirely. I have an ally that is eager to prove herself, though I doubt she has the transportation for her army, nor the defenses she'd need aboard a transport ship. If you sent a small attachment, maybe a couple transport ships, along with a destroyer or two..." Ghost murmured, before stepping into her power armor and popping her head back into her helmet. She moved her arms elegantly, like a dancer.

"I know your race believes in psionics as part of your religion, right? How does it feel about artificial intelligence?" Daisy paused for a moment before glancing over at the two women.

"If I remember correctly, your people are not found of it, yes?" The Grand Matriarch smiled. "We, on the other hand, do not fear it as others do. We believe that all that is made in the image of our brethren is sacred, and that true artificial intelligence should be treated with the respect of any other form of intelligence. I am sure not all across our vast space agree with this, but is what is generally taught."

"Good. Then you'll like Harbinger. She's my ally in this fight, and she controls a site of mine. She's using it to build an army up to assist. Had I the foresight or had known about the abomination we are to fight, I would have hooked her up to it long ago... regardless, I'm giving her your contact info, so that she can tell you what she needs to be successful." Ghost finished apparently as she stepped out of her armor and stretched. "But she shouldn't need much to take out Solex. Besides... I'll see about perhaps getting him on board with this war. If I can... well, we'll need all the help we can get. And if not... then we can take him out. Does that sound... acceptable?"

"It's acceptable to us," the Councilwoman stated. "We could always dealing with him after the bigger threat is dealt with. But what about those aboard the Golden Wind? They seem so adamant about eliminating him. Do you think they'd be willing to work with him?"

"If I asked Jackie directly, more than likely. They want to take him down for the atrocities he's been allowing slash doing, and while normally I'd assist them, either through talks with you, or by eliminating Solex myself, galactic threats tend to beat out pirate warlords." Daisy went back over to the treats and resumed munching on one. "I'm ninety-five percent sure that they'll listen to me. Especially if they know it's my last request."

"Y-you keep saying things like that." The male Norscan stepped forward. "Why are you so convinced you're going to die?"

"Because I'm going to load my personal ship with explosives, and ram it into wherever I need to. That will be handled by automated droids. And then if that doesn't work.... I will engage either in a land battle with the remainder of my forces or a space battle." Ghost answered, pausing slightly to swallow the last bit of the treat she finished. "That battle... I do not expect to survive it, much less win. My death is to buy you time, letting you gather your forces, maybe asking the other governments to rally behind you. That is what I'll be fighting for. That is why I, and every person who follows me into battle, will die."

Even Minenda'tafar looked saddened by her statement. "It sounds like you've put a lot of thought into this... and that your mind is made up."

"It is. I have already set up various wills and several countermeasures for any of my personal forces to fall back to or stay, should they choose not to fight." The Fee wiped her mouth with her shoulder. "I'll patch myself into your comms before I do so, so you can guesstimate how much time I'm buying you... do you have any questions? Requests?"

"Exactly how large of a force would you like us to send after this foe?" asked the High Matriarch. "How many allies does she have?"

"That's one of the many issues that troubles me: I simply do not know." The Fee frowned, turning her head towards the screen. "And that's not for a lack of trying. Whatever information, like the near psionic powers are lucky finds and have lost me agents. However, a woman this ambitious is sure to have fleets and ships beyond the simple bounty ship controlled by a Mr. Ravenwood. That is why I'll engage first, to give you time to gather forces, but also to measure your enemy. As for how many ships to start with, I'd recommend as large a fleet as you feel comfortable."

"That's the problem." Minenda'tafar rubbed her chin. "The smaller the fleet, the more the risk of being underprepared. The larger the fleet, the greater the risk of a conflict with the GFP. Any way you can assure they stay off our backs while we're cleaning up their mess?"

"I have a plan and a backup plan to ensure you won't be attacked. I'll ask the Wind to let them know of the situation, as they came to ask you for help. And if that doesn't work, I'll contact them much in the same way as I did you. Electronic at first then either a few hours or days, I'll meet with their council and convince them to join this... The Galactic War Council has a nice ring to it." Daisy briefly ran her hand over her broken wing, wincing as she reassessed the damage.

"If I succeed, you'll have an ally with some ships to help and a lot of worlds of diverse races to act as marines that will compliment your own. And if the Shin and Quin join, you'll have achieved a peace that not even the GFP has managed."

That brought a smile to Beladon'Dimascus' face. "Very well. It seems we have an accord. Please do take care of yourself before anything else though."

"I'll do my best before the clash. And it was a pleasure... and a hi honor to meet individuals such as yourselves." Ghost hopped into her power armor, feeling the armor connect with her cybers and augmenting their abilities. She paused as she started to leave. "May I make one request before I go, besides the huge overarching favor of going to war?"

The High Matriarch smiled and nodded. "Of course."

"There is someone aboard the Wind, a psion like you, and a potent one at that. He and I have clashed, although he doesn't know who I am per say." Ghost started, looking a bit uncomfortable, more than likely stemming from her having to ask. "He, or rather it would be more approps, is an unknown species of plant from an unknown world. He has proven that with a bit more training, he could be a powerful ally... so the favor would be if you could train him up, given there is no empire that even comes close to your level of expertise with psionics."

The Norscans exchanged a glance, and Beladon nodded. "That sounds delightful, if he would be willing to accept our tutelage of course."

"I'll persuade Jackie to lend him -it- to you for a bit. Keep in mind that even though he is... old, he's apparently a teenager. So prepare for a moody teen with psionic powers." Ghost warned lightheartedly, as she began to head for the door.

"Despite the difficult and stressful situation, it really was a pleasure to meet you," the Matriarch said.

"Likewise, Your Majesty" Ghost replied. "And your confidante is not so bad I suppose." The Fee disappeared around the corner, both literally and figuratively.

- after several days of travel-

Ghost had arrived at the GFP Headquarters and with that brought new dangers; namely the fact she was technically wanted by the government. She waited patiently for the soldiers to arrive and escort her to the remaining governmental heads, but she could plan, could she not? "I don't have much of my medicinal alcohol left... I hope I can remain coherent while talking with them..." She murmured, glancing at the robotic guards she had left. They wouldn't be able to do anything against legions of troopers... but she at least could hide a couple of them, just in case.

"After all this time searching for you, you simply turned yourself in." One of the guards gave her a confused look. "Why? Do you have some sinister plan to assassinate our few remaining Admirals?"

Ghost's helmet lit up with a smile. "If that was my goal, I'd have already picked off the rest of them." Ghost replied, cracking her neck. "No, I have galactic level business to talk with them about. After all, you're all still vulnerable, and there are threats to more than the GFP afoot."

"I suppose those are both true," he said as they approached a large, intimidating doorway. "At any rate, we'll be watching you, and lately, everyone's a bit... fidgety. So I'd watch any sudden movements."

"Yes, yes... Let's be afraid of the tiny Fee girl and what she can do." She lightly mocked. her eyes glancing over at the guard. "Although... I suppose what I've done has warranted some concern." Without waiting for the guard to reply she made her way to the door, her healed wing allowing her to fly and push it open.

At a large, round conference table, only seven Admirals sat, the rest injured, under investigation, or on trial. They all had a range of emotions showing on their faces, from worry, to irritation, to suspicion, to surprise, both that Ghost was here and that she was a Fee. All, that is, except for the man in the center of the group. He was a human in his mid-fifties, though he had the strong, burly physique of a much younger man, only his winkles and grey hair giving away his age. Scars on his face said he had seen his fair share of action, and he likely earned the various stripes and medals pinned to his uniform.

As Ghost approached, he lit a large cigar, taking a short drag from it before tapping it against an ashtray that looked like it had seen quite a bit of use. "Ghost... it is... interesting to see you like this. With our networks in shambles, I suspected you would be out and about taking advantage of our uncoordinated state, not marching through our front doors..." He smiled. "I am Admiral Reginald Steele. Can I offer you anything to make you comfortable."

Ghost flew up to the table landing with a decently heavy thud. "No... although, normally, you'd be right. It's not every day that GFP collapses due to corrupt figureheads." The Fee took off her helmet as she sat on the floor, showing off her long hair. "And normally, I'd use the opportunity to capitalize on good acquaintances' deaths. We both know that... but this is not normal circumstances, is it?"

"Obviously not." The admiral grunted. "I had my suspicions as to who and what you might be. Suspected a woman, but never thought a Fee. Very interesting." He took a long drag on his cigar before sighing. "Something must be really wrong for you to come to us like this. My colleagues want to simply ignore what you have to say and lock you up. I suspect whatever this is about will end with you walking, or flying, out of here as we turn our attention to a bigger problem."

"Correct. I've already spoken with the Norscans about it, and it alarmed them to the point that they'll contribute military aid. Enough that it would be considered a full-scale war." Ghost replied, her eye twitching. "Before we get to that, however, could you get me some medicinal alcohol?"

"Medicinal alcohol?" One of the other admirals ask. "You mean... rubbing alcohol? Or drinkable alcohol?"

"Correct. And I'd hurry while I'm coherent and less... well, sociopathically and murderously insane." Ghost offered a nervous smile, and rubbed her arm, the metal screech audible and unpleasant.

One of the Admirals nodded to a guard. Unsure which she meant when she said correct, he brought her a small bottle of rubbing alcohol. For his part, Admiral Steele gave her a thimble full of his own personal rum.

She quickly uncapped the rubbing alcohol and downed the entire bottle like a fish just returned to water. She stumbled for a moment, her eyes hazy, until she stood up. Her eyes gazed around the room, not with laziness as they had a bit ago, but with full clarity and intelligence behind them. "Thank you. This discussion requires more than an insane Fee running around shooting everything in sight." She paused, taking a sip of the thimble of rum. She smiled at the taste, but set it down. "Now, then... back to business, before you lose your patience. Admirals, someone has discovered a new power, one that could shape up to be far greater than Fee Plasma tech or the Tammy's and Norscan's psionic abilities. In fact, it is more related to the latter in terms of abilities, but it is far more powerful. And this particular individual has decided that the Mechanicum, the GFP, and The Empire are perfect for uniting under them... through war. This is to say, you've been at war and your opponent has been making moves without your notice."

Steele cleared his throat. "I'd call that unlikely, but a lot of things have been happening right under our noses. Who is this person? What is the nature of their power?"

"That's the thing, Admiral. This... person is masquerading as a corpse. You may have heard of the Golden Wind, and that they had a Cartus assassin on board. She lost her head, and as far as I know, that was cremated by the Captain, while the rest of her body disappeared into an inky black sludge, one I am familiar with. However, my intelligence reports that she still is kicking, still alive with a fully regrown head and capabilities she did not have prior. Thus that cannot be the same person. As for powers..." Ghost hesitated only for a moment before her armor relaxed and part of it, a sphere dropped into her waiting hand. "There are bands out there capable of summoning creatures, such as a human mythological phoenix, or a burn-y woman. This little trinket in my hand gives me the ability to use purple psionics, despite me lacking the ability to do so naturally. I could... demonstrate, with restrictions of course, if you wish."

The Admirals murmured for a moment, then nodded.

The orb and the sniper's eyes glowed a bright purple, as a rudimentary bomb formed on the table in front of her, just as purple and see-through as it was supposed to be. "Obviously, this isn't an active explosive. I made a bomb already disarmed and without any fuel components. This is but a taste of my artifact's power, but I presume you have some questions before I continue?"

"Where did you get this item?" one of the women asked. "Do these bands you speak of grant the same power?"

"No. This is weak compared to the bands and the bands are weak compared to the individual in question." Ghost replied before putting on a flirtatious smile that didn't quite meet her eyes. "And if you want to know how I got it, I'm afraid only a lover of mine would get that knowledge."

The female admiral chuckled. "You speak of all this like it was magic."

"That is exactly what it is." Ghost replied, her eyes scanning around. "At least until I can figure out how this individual and their disciples manipulate matter so easily without psionics." Her left arm transformed into a rifle, her gaze going to it as if in thought.

Such an action caused everyone to tense up, everyone except Admiral Steele for some reason. "So if I read your intentions right, you want the GFP to rally together to take down this... body snatcher and her underlings, yes?"

"Yes. That is precisely what I want. You are one of the three major powers in the galaxy, with the Norscans and the Mechanicum. Unfortunately, the Mechanicum are all too pompous and proud to consider that there is something that could defeat them; which is precisely why they will die if no intervention comes." Ghost gave a smile to Steele before she stared at her arm.

"I'm not threatening you into helping. Far from it, because if I can't get you to help, then the Norscans and a weakened Fee super state are all I've got left, and even then, I need your approval to let them pass." She picked the thimble up, downing the alcohol inside. "I can only hope you will, and that you'll let me go. Because just like I told the Norscans, I'm going to buy you time to gather your... battered forces for war. The only cost is that you'll lose an intelligent and resourceful info broker with a habit of shooting people with a rifle." Her gaze popped back up to Steele, darkened and full of grim humor. "Life's real funny when it wants to be, right?"

"It is..." Steele sighed and clasped his hands tightly. "You ask a lot of us. Not only are we to gather our forces against this threat, we are to work side by side with the Norscans and hope they do not shoot us in the back."

"Don't forget that I'll be dead, so you two will have to play nice without me." Ghost strode forward as she talked. "And let's be honest here; if they wanted to invade you, you'd have a hard time defending against them. The only reason they haven't is that their leader wants peace between all empires. Her runner-up is more war-like. If you don't want the Norscans to betray you, simply give them new targets to deal with. Like Solex the pirate, and at one point, even I would've been considered a threat worthy of war."

She stopped before Steele and stared up at him. "You need to make the decision what you want, weight it carefully, and give a yes or no, preferably letting me go free so that I can buy time for the Norscans to send a hopefully big enough fleet to kill this reborn assassin." She glanced around the table, her gun reforming into a hand. "You all have a choice to make, and I know the words of a criminal are not likely to be ones you wish to hear... but that is the best I've got. That, and some of my intelligence show-casing perhaps the only friendly who used similar power to the body-snatcher."

"A friendly?" Steele gave her a curious look. "Who?"

"A bounty hunter aboard the Golden Wind, although he has not shown up on the Wind for some time. I suspect he's been kidnapped by the body-snatcher, but for what exactly is the question." Ghost stepped out of her power armor, her nano-weave skinsuit glowing slightly. She pulled a drive out of her armor and set it on the table. "It is encoded, so don't be surprised of the initial content when you first plug it in."

The Admiral handed it to one of the guards, who plugged it into a computer and brought up the contents on the main screen.

A Fee children's show began to play, the contents of which was about responsibility. "Good episode... you won't see your mouse and you won't see your command prompt. Move the mouse to the right side of the screen and click three times. That'll open the prompt. Type in 'Cake is Sweet', and the relevant information will pop up.

The guard looked confused by such actions, but the Admiral gave him an encouraging nod, and he did as he was instructed.

Virtual folders, each with a name and corresponding information behind it. There were even pictures of the individuals, but these were just profile pictures; they didn't have anything damning about them. "And that's about it. Obviously, I can't get too close to observe, as I don't want to tip them off that I know, so..."

Steele nodded. "We'll gather our forces and prepare for battle." He looked down at the Fee. "This is a suicide mission for you then?"

She gave a grin. "It is... and not just for me. My entire organization will be destroyed during the time it takes you to get ready. Think of it as a forlorn hope; while I'd like to believe you and the Norscans can save me, the odds... are really not in my favor. Going in blind with no idea of my target's abilities, nor their true fleet size or any reinforcing fleets that might engage..."

She cleared her throat as she looked away for a moment, her gaze returning with almost child-like enthusiasm: enthusiasm that seemed cracked and broken in places. "Try to hurry Steele. I'd hate for this to be our only talk while I've been sane."

The Admiral nodded. "I will. And... thank you, Ghost."

"Don't thank me, just yet. Thank me if I managed to buy you more than a week of time." The Fee stepped back into her armor and flew up into the air, doing a couple loops for fun; promptly before flying towards the door. "Farewell, Admirals. May your prowess guide you in the coming battle."

As she left, she heard chatter behind her, some talk of the validity of her claims, some about the decision to let her go, but Steele was quickly able to silence them and get them focused on the task ahead of them.

Meeting old enemy's

The pirate fleet
Solex sat in his room thinking about the last few months and what had happened, the worst of it being the banishment of his second in command Roberta. And as a fleeting memory JJ and her cute attempt to stand up to him.” Heh what a idiotic Cartus thinking she can beat me heh, it be funny if it wasn’t so pathetic. Humm maybe I can send her to the breeding farms once I capture her, no that’s too nice. She’s one of those hero types trying to save everyone heh, I know I’ll capture her and break her friends in front of her. Torture some have her closest females ravaged in front of her, only to have the same happen to her Yea that sounds like a plan.”

"Mr. Solex, sir?" one of the women under him walked over, not looking all too comfortable with what she happened to hear from his self-monologue, not that she would ever say anything. "Long range systems have picked up an unknown ship entering the area nearby."

“Humm show it to me I wanna see if it’s worth anything to us.”

The pirate brought it up on Solex's view screen. It was rather large, obsidian black with a slick design that suggested it was made more for speed and maneuverability then firepower. Possibly a scout ship. No one else recognized the design, but Solex knew it. It was Norscan.

The pirates heard a growling from Solex.” That’s a Norscan scouting ship, don’t know why it’s so far from home? But it doesn’t matter, prepare a raiding group will be taking that ship.”

"Yes sir." The woman ran off to gather a raiding group.

One of the other pirates looked over and asked, "Is it really worth it, sir? It just looks like a scout ship."

“Right I forget that most of you haven’t seen Norscan design. That ship is not just a scouting vessel, the Norscans usually send these type of ships looking for certain targets then a few days later battle ships would show up. Besides those four armed bustards make great ships and it will make an excellent prize.”

There were murmurs amongst the men, but no one who might have had any objections spoke up. The woman from before came up on the screen. "I've selected a list of possible raiders. How many ships do you want to send, sir?"

“Send about five three to harass it, and two to cripple it. And tell the raiding party if there’s a four armed alien on that ship to contact me and I’ll deal with her.”

"Five for just... I mean, yes sir." The screen went dark and the five ships were brought together, sent out to meet with the scout ship.

One of the pilots tried to communicate with the shuttle.” Attention unknown vessel, you are in GFP controlled space please fallow us or be destroyed.”
Slolex looked on as Ravio came into the room, and saw a very different look from Solex.

"Well, now... that's an interesting ship." Ravio looked on with curiosity. "Friends of yours?"

“Something like that, tell me Ravio how many battles have you been in your hole life and have you ever fought in a war?”

"Oh, I have been in many, many battles. Too many to count. But a war." She shook her head. "I tend to avoid war as much as possible. Not for me, darlin'. I'm... much too delicate."

“Hum that’s a shame I’ve been in one war, in fact you can say I was born into one and spent most of my life in it against the masters of that scouting ship out there.”

"Oh?" Ravio watched as the ship started to follow the others and smiled. "Then I bet you are all too eager to say hello."

“That I am make sure our weapons systems are online in case they are just a distraction, I’m gonna take a look at our catch.”

"Maybe." Ravio pointed to the screen. "If you can get them in one piece.

The Norscans seemed to wise up to the trap, suddenly firing at the lead escort and disabling their engines before turning and making a run for neutral space.

“Heh good to see they haven’t gotten dumber over the years, all fighters crippled that damn ship!”

It was a short but tense fight. The Noscans weren't far from neutral space and if they could just make it, Solex would have to take a gamble to follow them. The scout ship could easily outmaneuver one or two other ships, but in the end they couldn't outmaneuver four ships. One shot after another hit their shields until they started breaching them, and the Norscans found the. Themselves dead in the water.

Ravio you Emil and Mei will board the ship, and if you see an alien with four arms notify me immediately.”

Ravio nodded, wondering what kind of alien he was referring to. She knew of a few. She met with Mei and Emile in the main hanger of the space station, rubbing her hands together. "Been a while since we got some fresh fish. And I'm hungry."

“Yea it’s been to long since we had a good fight, Ou and congratulations Emile heard about your pregnant toy.”

“Heh thanks Mei, but does anyone else not how the big man is? I mean the moment he saw the ship he looked pissed off.”

"Is he ever not mad?" Ravio asked, folding her arms. "Especially since Roberta left? Plus, he started talking about some war he fought in..."

Both Mei and Emile eyes widened” Ou this is not good, if he’s talking about that war.”

“Then this is a Norscan ship.” Mei stated.” Shit hay Emile you brought some Combat mechs right?”

“Yea about six, hopefully that will be enough.”

The ship was towed into the dock, and there was silence as the door slowly opened. Sensored showed at least a dozen life signs on board, but only one emerged from the ship, a tall, dark red Norscan woman. "What is the meaning of this outrageous aggression against my ship?!" She looked around without a hint of fear. "You are not GFP. Explain yourself!"

The three just looked at the woman in Aw.” Um Ou alright ugh, are you a Norscan?” Emile asked out of both fear and curiosity.

"Ah, so you know what I am?" The woman took a few graceful steps forward, regal clothes swaying slightly. "Then you know what kind of trouble you are in for kidnapping me and my crew?"

"Heh will then if this is what boss man want's this ship and we don't disappoint, our dear lord Solex." Mei said pushing a button and about six combat mechs came rolling and started firing at the Norscan.

"Grandmother!" Two much younger Norscans rushed out of the ship and threw up their arms, a telekinetic shield rising to block the incoming fire.

"I thought I told you to stay on the ship," the older woman stated simply as she raised her two left arms. One of the mechs glowed yellow. Its joints creaked and squealed as magnokinetic force compelled it to turn and fire at the other mechs.

“Ou come on what type of bull is this!” Mei shouted, she then took out her plasma machine gun and fired at the two young Norscans.”

Emile in the other hand fired at the mech that was out of his control in its head, and fire a gernade at the telekinetic shield.

The shield wavered and dipped but stayed up. As the controlled mech fell, the Norscan simply took control of a second one, this time aiming it at the pirate captains.

The three quickly got into cover, and Mei threw some smoke gernades to hopefully blind the Norscans.” God Damn it, hey Ravio please tell me you can do something to those aliens?”

"I can try." Ravio said, and her Cartus body knelt down and closed her eyes. The accompanying Cubator sent waves of psionic energy towards the Norscans. A minute later, there was a large spark of energy over her head, causing her to fall back. Slowly, she reconnected with the Cartus host and held her head. "Man... you didn't tell me they were that strong! Maybe... try diplomacy?"

“Ou Yea diplomacy, god do I miss Roberta right now.” Ugh shit hold on.” Emile pushed a button on the side of his helmet and was in contact with Solex.” Hay boss man we’re gonna need some help here!”

“Hay I got an idea, but you might wanna hold on to something.” As the smock cleared, Mei fired three flash grenades at the Norscans.

The trio flinched at the bright lights and sounds. The shield didn't drop, if anything they pumped more power into it, but the captain lost her focus, losing control of the Mech.

With the mech back under pirate control, if started firing at the telekinetic shield. Which hade the others fire as well doing there damndest try and get past the two brats shield.

"That... is... enough!" The captain swiped her hands down and the mechs all fell to the ground. She pointed to Mei, Emile, and Ravio. "You! You will take me to your leader right now! This is getting us nowhere. You will not get past my defenses, but we can not get out of here as long as you are shooting at us. So you will take me to whoever is in charge and we will discuss this like civilized people, assuming you wretches are even capable of that!"

Part 2

The three looked at each other and contemplated to bring this thing to Solex, but before they could say anything the door behind them opened and Solex came out and looked at the six.” Damn Norscans.”

The younger pair looked shocked to see him, though the older one was less surprised. "Figured it would be one of your kind. Causing trouble no matter where you go..."

"No it's just me and I want your ship, so you can ether run and leave it behind or." Solex took out his mace." I can rip you apart and take it off your dead body."

"Even if I was stupid enough to think you'd let us go AND cowardly enough to give in to such threats, where would I go, hmm? It's a scout ship. Do you see any room for a shuttle on it? My crew size is thirteen, for the Maker's sake!"

"Then I recommend using the air lock and holding your breath, why are Norscans so far from home, I figured your race would stay in your little bubble after what we did to you."

"Never you mind. That is Norscan business, and I don't have to explain it to a bunch of pirates. Now... are you going to release us? Or am I going to leave over your dead body?"

She could hear chuckling coming from the man, as Solex pulled out what looked to be a glowing mace.” I’ve killed trillions of your ilk, what’s one more and a few children to add.”

The Norscan woman glared at him, then reached out, using her magnetic powers on his mace.

To her surprise nothing was happening to it.” What did you think I wouldn’t make a weapon to hunt you lot down, this mace was mad to kill Norscans.”

The Norscan captain scoffed, and raised her hands. "Then I'll just end you directly!" Sparks crackled from them before bolts of electricity flowed towards Solex.

The last Drone ran towards the bolts and took the charge head on and exploded in the process. When the Norscans looked up Solex and saw him charging at them, with Emil Ravio and Mei firing at the aliens.

The younger two threw up their shields again, the older of the trio adding to their power to prepare for the attack.

Mei and Emile fired grenades at the shield to attempt to weaken in when Solex continued his charge the mace started to glow red as he slammed it into the shield.

Shock waves reverberated through it as the shock knocked the two younger Norscans down. The captain stood strong, however, and sent electricity straight throught the shield and the mace into Solex.

He screamed in pain and took a knee from the electricity, but as he got up he slowly made his way to the Norscan. Emile and Mei threw Flash grenades in front of the barrier, and readyed there weapons when it went off.

"Why... do you want... my ship so much..." The rapidly tiring woman looked around, focusing on something behind Solex.

When the flash grenades went off blinding the woman, Solex smashed his mace into the telekinetic shield a red shockwave surrounded the shield and broke it.”It’s simple, when I want something I take it. Not only that you shouldn’t have left your precious little home.

Even blinded, the home manipulated her hands worth the skills of a surgeon. Solex heard stomping behind him, turning just in time to see one of the mechs run over and slam its gun arm into him.

Solex wasn’t easy to take down however and was being pushed closer to the wall, when he was pressed into the wall he used his mace on its other arm and smashed its head in. He then grabbed the Mech body and threw it at the Norscan.

The other two recovered, one throwing up a shield while the other grabbed their grandmother. The trio fell back, retreating back into their ship.

Solex chuckled to himself.” That it run you little abominations run, because I’m not done with any of you yet.” But before he went after them he went back to the three and looked at Ravio.” Ravio you Ok I haven’t seen seen fire on shot since I showed up.”

She rubbed her head. "Sorry, I was a little dazed by her before you showed up." She pulled out a handgun and smiled. "I'll lead the charge if you'd like."

“By all means, I would also keep your powers at a minimum here. These Norscans are very powerful psions, if you can see if you can get closer to them have them focus on not getting punched then being gunned down.

Ravio's host fell into a slumber again, her Cubator body quickly growing into its ghastly larger form. She led the party into the ship. For a simple scout ship, it was surprisingly ornate and decorated.

Part of the way in, Ravio psied, Take cover! Using her limited precognitive powers, she was able to duck into a doorway before being shot. Up ahead were three soldiers resembling upright serpents with arms and cobra like heads armed with plasma rifles.

“Ah the brought that race here too, Humm we’ll at least there skin can be sold to someone.”

Emile fired back at the new race in front of him wondering what kind planet houses these freaks.

The two sides fired at each other for a while as Ravio used her powers to map the surrounding area. He slipped away, slinking off into the darkness. A few minutes later there was yelling among the serpents, sounds of gunfire and hissing. Soon, the gunfire went silent. Ravio stepped out of the shadows among the others, covered in blood and one of the alien's heads in her mouth. We can continue.

“Heh remind me to never anger you.” Mei then looked down at the snake people.” Just when you think you’ve seen everything the galaxy pulls two new species on you. Boss man did you have to fight these things during that war of yours?”

“Yes I did and watch out for there venom, I recommend spitting that head out of your mouth Ravio less you like poison.”

Ravio quickly dropped it. A shame. I'll have to find something else to eat...

A bit further in, they came across the bridge, and the rest of the crew. Solex recognized them as Schizoids. The were mammalian in nature, two arms and two legs, but with bulbous heads, scrawny, grey bodies, and large, dark eyes. They reminded the pirates of Bazir, the way they timidly scurried around and looked terrified by Solex's crew. Only one of them, the largest of them, lifted a pistol to defend itself, it's hands shaking fiercely.

Solex smiled.” I’m only gonna day this once, I’m here for your ship and the Norscans on board. Hand them over and you can leave, but do try and fight I’m sure most of you will make excellent slaves.

One of the aliens made a loud chittering noise, and pointed towards a room off to the side. It earned him the disapproving looks of the others.

“Heh that’s a good man, now I recommend that you start running before I change my mind.” Solex walked past the aliens and broke the door to the next room open.

He found the three Norscans in what looked like a containment room of some kind, though what was contained was hidden behind a blast shield. The younger two looked surprised to see him, but the Captain didn't. She looked more like she was expecting him.

"My men bought me enough time," she said, and placed a device around her wrist. "Tell me, brute, would you still like to know what I was doing here?"

“I would yes, after all I’m sure you’re still fixing what’s left of your home.”

"Daven," she said, looking at the male of the younger Norscans.

He cleared his throat. "Our mission is to scout the region we are currently in and gain intel. The exact nature of what we are to find has been kept confidential. After which, we are to proceed to planet X324Z4 in the neutral zone and deposit our... cargo... on the surface before heading back to base for reassignment."

“Hum so you have no idea what you were scouting for, something’s telling me you were bait, because everyone knows neutral space houses many pirates.”

"Perhaps. But if that is our fate, so be it. Perhaps they knew there was a good chance we'd be caught. Maybe that's why they put this on the ship as well."

She turned and typed on a computer. There was a loud warning buzzer as the blast doors opened to reveal the caged cargo. Lithe but muscular. Twisted, sharp claws. Powerful springing legs. A mouth like a a petaled flower opening to a mouth full of teeth. It roared angrily as it pulled at its bindings, sending a shiver down everyone's spine, but none more then Solex, who knew of this creature. A Morsincarn, one of the most dangerous aliens in the galaxy.

Emile Mei and Ravio shouting what the fuck is that!”

Solex stepped back.” Now I know you’re bait, have you lost your minds that Morsincarn will kill everyone here!”

"Oh, you remember this creature?" the captain asked coyly. "Fitting. It was your people who unleashed these interdimensional monstrosities on us, at least until they became too much for you to handle and they started killing as many of you as us." She turned to look at it. "We caught this one destroying one of our colonies. You see, because of you, they still poke into our dimension now and then. We were transporting it to a forbidden planet to get rid of it, but now I have a better idea of how to use it."

“The second you unleash it it’s gonna kill you and your kids first, I’ll use it eating you as a distraction to get out of here.”

"It'll find you. You know how tenacious these things are." The Norscan held up her wrist. "This is attuned to my bio readings. The moment I die, it is released. So as far as I see it, you have two choices. Let us go, and spare yourself substantial loses, or kill me and have to beast released on your little station. So... what will it be?"

Solex eyes twitched as he knew he was out done, he then turned to Mei Emil and Ravio.” I want you three to get out of here, and quickly.”

Ravio paced a little, running several attack scenarios through her head using her precognition, but everyone ended with the creature being released before she could capture the captain and kill the other two. Not knowing the beast's power, she deferred to Solex's knowledge and headed out.

Emile and Mei fallowed Ravio. As they left Emile looked at Mei.” Mei we still have that giant mech that we took from that mob boss right?”

“Yep sure do it was the last thing of Guther before his brutal death. I’ll also be sure to get the altilary ready just in case. Ravio you might wanna pick up that Cartus and get your people ready just in case.”

The Cubator nodded, looking back at Solex, worried about leaving him alone.

“You know when my people found these, creatures it always took a team to capture and restrain it.”

"Took quite the team of our own. Not everyone survived." The Captain looked back at it. "It is the high matriarch's decision to give it a chance to live on that planet. I'd rather launch it into a star..."

“One that even I can agree with, these things no matter what are only good for weapons of war and nothing else. So you can ether space this damn thing, or I could you can be really stupid and release it.”

"Well, that is my choice to make... after I leave here." She glared at Solex. "You have damaged my ship, kidnapped me, killed my men, and threatened my grandchildren. And yet nothing will be done to you if you let us leave now."

“I don’t believe you, but then again you’re people can’t come into GFP territory less you want galaxy war we’re I don’t think you will win. Ugh fine I will let you live mostly because I’m not fighting that monster there.”

She nodded, and surprisingly smiled. "It was interesting to meet you, Solex. I will have an interesting report to give when I get back."

"Just know that the only reason i'm sparing you is because of that creature, If I do see your shuttle here again I will kill you." Solex started walking back to his ship when he arrived he saw many guns pointing at him." It's alright everyone were letting this ship go return to your post." the guns retracted and he went back to his office were he saw Ravio." I bet your wondering how what that Norscan meant by my people unleashed that monster on them huh?"

Back with her Cartus host, Ravio nodded. "So when you said you were born into war, it was with them, huh?" She looked over at him. "Why risk the danger of such a creature as that?"

“Why risk she says, why elese to unleash untold mass destruction on them. It takes a lot to bring on of those monsters down, and if you have enough of them they can do plenty of damage on neighborhoods towns you name it. Of course I could always nuke or gas them from orbit that was always the fun parts.”

Ravio shook her head. "I suppose. I guess I just don't get the complexities of war. I'll have to take your word on it." They heard the sound of the ship taking off. "You think there was more to them being in the area then it seemed?"

“Of course there is, but they aren’t mentioning it. But for now let them leave. There are other places we can raid, and eventually we will have to go home and resupply.”

Ravio nodded and smiled. "At least we got a sense of what we might be up against in the near future."

“Hum something tells me I might have to see an old friend of mine, because if we do run into Norscans again we must be ready.” Solex put new quadrants into the computer.” Ravio how long have you been a pirate?”

Ravio looked surprised at the sudden interest and rubbed her chin. "Well, it... must be ten years by now. Most of my life, ever since I escaped the lab I was born in. Though considering how long lived your people are, I'm sure that's nothing compared to how long you've been one."

“Your right it’s not, so allow me to inform you on a little secret. The biggest pirates those that are wise enough to live this long or who have a family tree in piracy. We all have a special hideout our own colony we manage, or a much larger space station we call home.”

"I see." Ravio grinned. "Planning to go back there?"

“Yes because if I were to take that damn Cartus at her word, then I will show her the meaning of war.”

Monsters of the Night, pt.1

On board the golden wing

Blisk sat in his room looking over his weapons and armor, until he got a message from his home world. “Ah Blisk you might not remember me but I’m the Doctor that helped with yours and Titania baby?”

“Ou I remember you what’s going on?”

“Well ever since you’ve give us the materials from the monsters you killed during that hunt I would like to inform you that after your son is coming along marvelously.

“That that’s good to hear.” He said smiling.

A polite knock interrupted the news as a familiar voice called out, "Hey, mind letting me in? My shower broke and you were the first person I thought to ask."

Blisk raised his eyebrow.” Give me a second doc.” He got up and opened the door.

Titania stood out in the hallway with nothing on save a towel wrapped around her and sandals. She walked calmly in, yawning slightly. "Thank you. Our friendly bug mechanic said he'd get on it in a bit. Something about a list... anyways, mind if I use your replicator for making me shampoo, conditioner, and any other shower essentials?"

Blisk turned beet red and covered his face.” Yea sure but um please tell me you didn’t walk from your room to mine with only a towel on?”

Titania turned around and merely smirked. "Is the big scary Kotavorg concerned for my dignity? Adorable." She sashayed right up to him, a flirtatious smile on her face. "I did. Modesty isn't exactly a quality I have in spades. Besides, I'm a seductress assassin. It's kind of my job to arouse people." She turned around and began to walk towards the bathroom.

“Ugh that woman.” Blisk went back to his computer and went back to talking to the doctor.” Right sorry doc was there anything else you wanted to add?”

“Um right ugh as I was saying your son is doing well would you like to see it?”

“He’s grown that much huh, alright let me see him.” The doctor turned the camera to show a developing Kotavorg his skin was brown with what looked to be pointy ears developing. “Heh he’s coming along nicely.”

The shower turned on as the door to the bathroom remained open. While she showered, Titania listened in, a bit curious as to what would distract Blisk from her mostly nude form.

"As you could see Blisk your son is coming along quiet nicely could be from the Deviljho and Dread sarun blood and flesh you've given us, but based on how's he coming along he should be about three more months and he'll be up and crying."

"Hum that's good to know, hum looks like his ears will become like his mothers.

Titania briefly coughed as she was caught off-guard. She blinked furiously as she tried to fully comprehend what he was saying. I know that he said we had a kid, but... I guess I didn't fully believe him, even with the contract. I'm so... stupid... having a kid with my baggage will get them killed... maybe... maybe if I cut off her arms and legs... and confine her to a mental hospital, my kid will be safe... Titania thought darkly, before shaking her head. She quickly applied some shampoo to her hair as she tried to hurry through her routines.

"Well then Doc thank you for showing me him, it's nice to see that he's coming along nicely. Well anyway doc I gotta go thanks for telling me that the kids coming along great." Blisk turned off his transmission and knocked on the bathroom door." Hurry up in there,I don't need all my hot water gone."

Titania quickly finished up, offering only a sigh as she exited without even the towel. "Shower's yours if you want it... hot water's at twenty-five percent, but you can use my shower in the meantime. Y'know, once Baíchi fixes it." The foxgirl headed for the replicator not showing the least bit of embarrassment at her current lack of dress.

“You could have at least came out with a towel damn it. Just because I love you doesn’t mean you could just walk around with nothing on, don’t you have any dignity?!” Blisk said his cheeks red.

Titania raised an eyebrow as she went over to his replicator to make some undergarments for her to wear. "Not that kind of dignity. And shouldn't you be over seeing me naked? You did fuck the 'old' me, so whether I wear clothes around you or not isn't showing you anything you haven't seen." She tapped her chin in thought. "And why are you getting so flustered? In some of the memories I've gotten back, you're always calm and collected... not blushing furiously like a schoolboy on his first date with his crush."

“Call it my father’s instinct coming in, or that I haven’t seen you naked in quite some time got me feeling lost butterflies.” Blisk went to his armor.” Anyway I talked to one of the people that help us in the great hunt he said he will help us.”

"I got my contacts to predict when my sister will be in the building. That'll give us a bit of a time frame - we can either storm the hospital when she there so we have everyone, reinforcements and all, or we can go when she's not there, but we may end up attacked from behind." Titania replied slipping on some rather uncomfortable briefs and a bra that struggled to hold her breasts up.

“Attacking the hospital guns blazing sounds like the best and more fun way to do things. Besides it should make for a good scrap and I could use the distraction, not that looking a your perfect fox ass isn’t helping.”

"By contract, you can do far more than stare at my ass if you wanted." Titania replied, her tail swishing side to side. "And it's far from perfect. Have you seen some of the Tamearin models that compete in the Miss Galactic runway show? They're far more qualified to be perfect." She quickly turned and headed for his clothes browsing through his shirts.

“You mean the ass hat Tamarins who are pompous and and arrogant, because of there hole natural beauty bull shit Ugh. I prefer you over those morons your way more attractive.”

"In what way? Their asses are far more rounded and their boobs are bigger without being saggy." Titania retorted, slipping on one of his shirts.

“Well my race aren’t attracted to perfection as most race’s call it, I like the scars and bullet wounds on you. They tell me you're a fighter, besides.” Blisk came behind Titania and hugged her back.” I like your body just the way it is, the toned stomach wide hips, a wonderful ass. How can I not find you more attractive then some worthless Tamarin?”

"Now he's flirty..." Titania shook her head and tried her best to hide the growing smile on it. The man was a friend, yet more... and that confused her greatly. And it wasn't like her memories were really helping either. "But I suppose you're right. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, even if said beholder is simply in the mood to fuck me." She turned around in his grip and planted a gentle kiss on his cheek, so gentle, in fact, he barely felt her lips. She quickly placed a finger on his lips, as she stared into his eyes. "Now... before you say anything... I know I'm beautiful. If I wasn't, I wouldn't be able to seduce people. But... I also know there are girls out there with bigger boobs than mine and better asses. That's just a fact. So, I'm not degrading myself okay, Puppy?"

“Fine, and don’t call a man who’s older then you puppy, it’s down right degrading. And while I do wanna fuck you badly, I need to remind myself that you’re not the woman I used to love.” Blisk let go of Titania.

"True, I'm not... but I am regaining her memories. In time, I could become her... or you just might be stuck with the cold, ruthless assassin." Titania replied, pulling him back. "As for 'puppy'... considering my few returning memories, it seemed appropriate, so I'm going to keep calling you that, Puppy."

“Ugh I hate you, besides your not a cold blooded assassin. If you were I would have longed killed and ate you, and before you say you are you care for me and most of the people here. Most assassins work alone so your not a monster.”

"I care for the simple reason I like you all. Some more than others. That doesn't mean that I wouldn't kill some of the crew, but it does mean that there are people I wouldn't kill." The assassin sighed and nuzzled into the cyborg. "I really don't understand how you're seeing so much good in me when I'm not..."

Blisk hugged her.” Because I can guaranty that I’m possibly worse, you haven’t eaten anyone that I know of. You haven’t killed thousands of people criminal or not, point is I love regardless of what you did.”

The foxgirl frowned into him. He's too naive... I may not eat my kills, but I torture the hells out of them... "Don't you mean the old me? I'm pretty sure you hate this version of me at the least."

“I don’t hate this version of you, your still you just well more reserved.” Blisk then let her go.” I tell you what instead of thinking I don’t care about you, why not tell me the things you did and I’ll decide if you’re worth loving.”

"Murdered an entire family in their own home over the course of three weeks, and the only reason they died was because their bodies gave out. Then there's the time I impaled a child about the age of six to a wall with an iron poker." Titania started off, her eyes dark and unhappy. "If I continue to list off everything horrible I've done, we'll be here for hours."

Blisk eyes widened.” Ok yea I understand as to why you don’t want to mention any of this, um why did you impaled a six year old?”

"Because he held a laser pistol after I cut his father in half. And because he was my target, not the father." Titania stepped away more towards the door. "Look: I acknowledge I'm a monster. I'm just a nicer monster than most."
