Wow... you really know how to shit on someone's childhood, huh?

And the gameplay was revolutionary for the time and set the bar for all JRPGs to come, the story flowed greatly between thrilling, humorous, and tragic, and the characters were all unique and interesting. While not the best JRPG ever (Chrono Trigger), or even the best Final Fantasy (VI), it is one of the best games in the genre and a fantastic game.

I'm speaking by today's standards... Not by the standards of nostalgia goggles. Some stops being revolutionary when everyone else abuses it and the story stops flowing well when you start to notice all the holes in it.

I'm not scolding you for not liking it. I'm scolding you for labeling it an overrated game without looking at all it did for the genre. That's like shitting on the NES because the graphics of Super Mario Bros. 3 don't compare to Odyssey.

You're entitled to like and dislike what you want. It is when you start putting down something in a way that says others shouldn't like it that a problem arises.

The impact a game has does not change whether it is overrated or not... It simply says how successful it was. A game can be genre defining and extremely overrated (look at WoW before Wrath or more currently... Classic WoW)

And this is personal, and I fully admit this, but there is also other factors in picking and chosing what you say about something and when.

For example, is a supposed friend already having a bad day, has expressed that he is down, and tried to lighten his mood by talking about something he loves like his favorite game? Well, golly, that sounds like a perfect time to shit on said game and tell him how bad it is. While you're at it, wanna mention how Batman is lame and kittens are ugly?

At what point have I ever sugarcoated something. You know damn well if there is a problem I will make it clear there is a fucking problem. I don't like the game... The remake looks extremely good and polished... How about we just leave it at that instead of wasting our fucking time over a pointless argument that only makes shit worse then it already is!

You speaking like the truth doesn't fix anything... When being honest fixed more problems then any white lie ever fucking will. I'm sorry if you don't like my attitude on this pathetic existence we call live or my choice of words when I'm pissed the fuck off. All of this bullshit could've have been avoided if you talked about the remake instead of getting defensive over my opinion on a simple fucking game.

And this could have been avoided by you leaving it at I don't like, not "That game you like is overrated." Don't poke a hornet's nest then get mad when a few of them want to sting you, and don't put down something someone clearly likes a lot and be surprised when they get defensive.

Oh, but clearly this is my fault. You put down something I like and it is my fault for not ignoring it. It is kinda like that time when I told a woman her son was ugly but she had a cute daughter. A whole argument could have been avoided if she just talked about her daughter and not getting defensive about her son.

Maybe if people would take responsibility for their own fucking shit I wouldn't have to focus so fucking much and everything that is fucking wrong with them! Instead of blaming me for fucking everything you could stand to reflect on yourself for once in your fucking life... Maybe then I would have a decent family instead of the bullshit I have now!
