Been playing Shadow of war again in the highest difficulty, it hurts the early game hurts so much. Until I brand some orks and they quickly.
Awesome! You're awesome! That game is... probably awesome? Never played.

Finished the third bio. A million brownie points to anyone who can guess the races of my characters! Hint: they are all different.

Going to play this nondescript so... Alien from Earth, Emotion Alien, and... Rhino Alien? If not, Rhino, the cockroaches.

My brain isn't working that well right now after spending like four hours straight working on a project that I despised every step of the way, but I'll read the info thread stuff while I'm coming down from that hell.

My stream of thoughts as I read:

1. Alright so the Tamearins still have psionics as part of their racial attributes. That raises the question of how we're going to handle psi in this runaround. Similar to the XCOM rps diagram, or something different?

2. "Wait if the Shinso are in how would they be in a federation while they have slav-" "Zmby's explanation: they're not." That feels blindingly obvious in hindsight.

3A: An important question for @ZombieSplitter53 that is coming to me in general: how pervasive is the influence of the GFP's government? Is law and order largely maintained everywhere, are there gaps in it (such as on frontier areas), or does the GFP mostly handle macro matters of inter-species exchange and external interactions/exploration, leaving sector/system/planetary governance to the localities.
3B: What are the crime rates at? Do they vary to do an answer to the first part of the question, or is it generally low/medium/high?

4. Ah, you didn't forget my question about A.I. Neat.

Ah, you were the other AI asker? I should've guessed you were. :p

Fortunately I got my Hermes fix in a story I did with tax, so my concepts don't rely on having an actual A.I. Someone with machine parts, though? I have... plans.
Heh... We think too similarly. I have plans for a cyborg as well. Want to establish something between two cybernetically enhanced people in a convo?

Largely maintained through Federation Space, but there are frontiers where they don't rule. Following the laws of the GFP is required for members, but membership can't be forced, in which case if you don't mess with them, they'll leave you alone.

Varying. Reasonably low in Federation controlled space, but areas outside GFP control have higher rates. And the GFP can't be everywhere in their own space, so eliminating all crime is impossible. Space be big. Instead the GFP largely acts with deterrents for crime and acts to try and supply the less fortunate with basic needs so they won't turn to crime.

Let's see... obviously the ship needs bounty hungers and treasure hunters. But it also needs, as B0 stated, a Navigator and a Gunner, as well as...hmm... a pilot... a comms officer... at least one more engineer to help the buggos... a science officer of someone wants to turn one of the spare rooms in a lab. And there are probably a dozen other positions I've forgotten.

Note that I use officer for lack of a better term, but unlike before, this isn't a military organization, nor is it a big business like Havenbrook with contracts and paychecks and the like.

The only thing making it a business is JJ's bounty hunters license (and who knows if that is real or forged). So while she'll be in charge and you'll usually follow her orders, she isn't a military commander. Please feel free to speak up if she does something wrong or you have a better idea. It isn't like thw ship has a brig or something.
