Welcome to The Think Tank.

This is an area where you guys can discuss things out of character about anything to do with the x-com series. Enjoy.

Game tips and advice for Commander Odd are probably best left as comments on his videos.

I had a question! Do all soldiers start out as Private? I was hesitant to give my character a rank, simply cause I didn't know if that played a factor ingame.

Your soldier starts of with the rank Rookie. The game will show what rank characters are and when they get promoted.

Quick questions: How long would I have to make journals? also: are we able to make journals of RP outside of combat? as in: me and X (X= someone else within the XCOM initiative) get into a fight or become friends, or even that I see a friend whilst he/she is in the infirmary? (these questions are on the video, if you answered there, don't answer it again, I'd hate to waste your time)

I've answered your question on YouTube. I hope this is clear enough.

Yes, in fact, that is what we recommend you spend most of your time on; interaction with other characters. Journals can be any length you want them to be.

EDIT: Sorry, I misread. If you are on the squad on the mission, you have to write your journal before the next mission unless you've specified you will be unavailable. Everyone else can post as much or as little as they want, though we obviously like to see people on the roster in the game being active.

Offline devices are fine as long as they are checked upon entry. Laptops are allowed, but the internet access is limited and goes through the XCOM network - monitored.

So how did we get to Asia? Did we get the money to buy a airplain ticket, did we have to pay it ourselfs or were we picked-up by some people from X-COM.

ok, and I was just now thinking that my character is an apple tech support employ and I am good with computers, so if the S.H.I.V. could be researched and developed for my character during a mission, that is when he gets in
