Personality:
Sarah’s past has made her cold and ruthless. She rarely shows anything but that mask. She is immensely protective of her adopted son, and it is only to him that she has ever shown gentleness thus far.

Backstory Tidbits:
Sarah was born to Chinese military officals that made her into the assassin she once was. She served them until that fateful day when she was 21. Since then, she has lived in Japan, hiding from the government of China, and raising her adopted son to try and make up for her role in his father’s death.

Kevin is brash, quick-tempered, and aggressive. He enjoys combat, but does not savor killing, though he wouldn’t easily admit to that shaking him. He doesn’t like children all that much, but respects his fellow ‘warriors.’

Backstory Tidbits:
Kevin was born in New York City, his father a boxing champion. Kevin wanted to be strong and fight like him, and tried to join the military at 18 years of age. Fighting at school and aggressive tendencies caused him to be denied several times over the course of the year. Finally, he was accepted, but only because the drill sergeant where he was trained made sure to drill the ability to follow orders into Kevin’s head.

Backstory Tidbits:
Kris has done many things in his life. Directionless at school, he became a fisherman, then a sailor. He progressed to being in the navy, first as an engineer and then as a battleship turret operator. He retired from the navy at 30, being a history teacher for a small high school. Then, at the age of 32, he joined up with the army, becoming skilled with light machine guns.

Her compassion can lead to anger when she cannot protect those she cares about, and can lead her to being rash. She harbors guilt about her brother’s paralysis from fighting in Africa.

Backstory Tidbits:
Amanda was always close to her brother. Growing up in Baja, California, she always wanted to help people, and he was the same. How they went about it was different. Amanda pursued a career in medicine, while her brother immigrated to Spain and joined the army there. Amanda joined the Red Cross when she was 22, and journied to Africa. In 2014, she was met by her brother to help the wounded in a conflict in Cote D’Ivoire. However, in a raid he was crippled from the waist down by gunmen, and Amanda could do nothing to stop it at the time. She swore to make it up to him somehow, and joined the Spanish army in his place, becoming a field medic there.

Backstory Tidbits:
Megan’s father died when she was young, and she had to be strong and happy for her family’s sake. Her mother was often sick, and her younger sister needed someone to protect her. Currently her mother has passed away, and her younger sister is in the care of Thomas Burrick’s family. Since she didn’t have any other immediate family, when Tom recruited Megan he offered to let Megan’s sister stay with his in Phoenix, Arizona. She accepted those terms and joined XCOM.

Sharron is often mistaken for being rather serious, and this is half-true. However, she knows when to lighten up for the most part. She enjoys reading, football (not American football), and practices Judiasm.

Backstory Tidbits:
Sharron grew up in a fairly happy family in Tel Aviv, Israel, her mother and father usually being there. When they weren’t she had her two cousins, one male and one female, to keep her company. She became nervous about the future of Israel as time went on, worrying that the surrounding nations might grow tired of their presence at some point. This has made her slightly paranoid, though she sympathizes with the Palestinian people and doesn’t believe they should be forced to leave as many were.

She served for a few years with a unit detached to Palestinian-populated areas of Israel.

Personality:
Scarlet has an abrasive and often cold personality. She enjoys learning about other cultures and listening to music. Despite her love of culture, past experiences and a natural tendency towards avoiding people have made her fairly antisocial.

Backstory Tidbits:
Scarlet’s father, a Welsh ambassador to the Gaza Strip, had met a Palestinian woman there and married her. However, not long after Scarlet was born her mother was killed in a misunderstanding, and her father took her back to Wales. He died of a car accident when Scarlet was 4. The young girl was taken in by an orphanage, but was never really adopted. She grew to love learning about culture to try to get to know people without having to actually known them, and music for when she was indeed alone. She briefly became a history teacher before switching to a military career when it became apparent she didn’t know how to handle children. In Israel, she did her best to try and mend relations between them and the Israeli population, but quickly grew bitter at the treatment of her people. The small progress she made seemed insignificant.

Backstory Tidbits:
Letz was born into a family where both of his parents served in the military. His mother was in the air force, his father in the army. Thus, he often found himself on-base with his father, and grew to be what one would call a ‘military brat.’ He joined the military as soon as he was old enough, and served in a mix of domestic and international affairs.

Risk: Very dangerous. Owes and has owed to him numerous favors from many different people from around the globe in varying degrees of power. Ties to criminal underworld heavy. Ties to politics heavy. Ties to military heavy. Has been described as "omniscient" by some. [Addendum: Recent failure of Overseer to detect threat of EXALT puts this claim into question.]

Personality: Logic-centric reasoning. Conducts deals with something approaching honor - both sides get the same value from the deal in his eyes. Conducts said deals on a barter system, money is considered merely "a quantity of value with which to obtain another quantity of value" (direct quote). Noted as typically emotionally distant. Fond of cryptic sentences, grand introductions, proverbs. Insists that he keeps his promises - currently no data to refute this claim.

Notable Details: The Overseer's rise was quick and subtle. His importance in the criminal underworld was largely unrecognized until everyone was already involved with him in some way or other, and by then it was far to late to stop him. His arrival is thought to be somewhere around early 2000, but it is impossible to say for certain. Most of the information gathered about this elusive man has either been released by him or doctored at some point and reliable records are therefore difficult to come by. His resources are thought to be immense, to the degree that there is very little he could not accomplish in one way or another. He is typically involved in political scandals in one way or another. His exact reach is unknown, but it is assumed to be significant. When dealing with him, extreme caution is advised.

Council Notes: Despite being a threat to the Council itself, and it's members thereof, the Overseer is noted as being the best option for the position of Head of Intelligence for the duration of the X-COM Project. The risk is considerable, but the payoff of having the Overseer onside for the duration of this conflict outweighs this. The alien threat is a far greater risk, to the Overseer as much as the rest of humanity. Final recommendation is to extend an offer - access to X-COM in return for his assistance. Given this project's status as the highest classification, this is likely an offer he will not be able to refuse.

Extra Notes: The Overseer is known to be in direct contact with a highly prominent assassin, to the point where the relationship is thought to be that of friends rather than colleagues. Potentially an avenue that could be exploited on either end if necessary. [Addendum: Assassin has gone missing. Pressuring the Overseer for information as to his whereabouts could be counterproductive to efforts to keep the Overseer on side. Recommend not doing so.]

Pre-Service History: Born to Leon Foulke and Teresa Mendoza, Albert was the first of two children the duo would have, the second being his late brother, Richard Foulke. After 12 years spent in the sunny state of California, the family moved to Britain for work-related reasons, and the family would spend the rest of their life there.

Leon Foulke died October 9, 1997, of congestive heart failure. Albert was forced to step up to the plate, and became the breadwinner for the family. While not the most comfortable of lives, the remaining Foulkes struggled along until Albert graduated and joined the military, primarily for the better pay. After the death of their mother in 2005, Richard followed his older brother into the military.

Service History: At first only joining as a Reservist, and then taking a civilian job on the side, in 2006 Foulke decided that he wished to go active-duty, but first went through the Army Reserve Commissioning Course, emerging at the end as a 2nd Lieutenant. After completing his modules and special-to-arm training, he was on track to reach Lt. He worked on a few minor operations, as well as a few inter-branch/national training exercises, but little of note until early 2015, where recent terrorist attacks by the group known as ISIS prompted full military intervention, where Albert, now a Captain, was deployed to Lebanon to assist other assorted NATO troops to remove the presence of ISIS from the nation and those surrounding it.

On February 26th, 2018, Albert Foulke was honorably discharged on psychological grounds after the disastrous Operation Curtains Up resulted in the deaths of 32 men under him, including his younger brother, Richard Foulke. He currently resides in Liverpool, England, with his wife Jane.

Skills: Albert has skills as a rifleman, but his talents lie more towards the leadership. He works best when under someone else’s command, and is more used to large-group operations rather than the small-scale work XCOM will be under-taking. His aim is above average in all cases, and knows his way around an assault rifle, though he does have a preference for L85A2.

Psychological Notes: From studies of his past, Albert has acquired a martyr complex due to having to push aside his dreams for his family’s survival. With the recent death of his younger brother, and thus his last immediate family, careful care should be taken to ensure he does not break further. Recommendation is to covertly protect his wife, openly do so if he recommends it. Despite his seeming fragility, he still maintains a ‘mask’, if I might say, of extroversion, charisma, and determination. How this will play into his recovery is unknown.

Recruiter’s Addendum: Albert was shockingly willing to join XCOM, despite his recent trauma. I’m inclined to say that maybe he’s latching on to this in some misguided attempt to cope with the loss, and if we weren’t pressed for troops I’d consider turning him down. Even when I mentioned the massive difference in rank from his time in the British Army to XCOM, he still had no second thoughts. Hopefully this motivation holds.

Character Bio: Ashley was born in the thick of winter in Dead hourse Alaska, and the first born child. Ashley s child hood was harsh, because she was born in a small town in the middle of a frozen wasteland after her fifth birthday her family moved to Fairbanks were she went to School. Ashley had a hard time in school not for her lacking intellect, actually she was a honers student. Her struggle was from her getting into fight's with her class mates, often with boys taller then her or women that would make fun of her and her friends.

At the age of fifteen Ashley left her School and decided to be home schooled, after a while Ashley told her father that she wanted to train to become a mercenary but her father had other plans for her. When she was a kid Ashley s dad took her hunting every day so she can learn how to live in the harsh winter in Alaska At a young age Ashley showed a love for fighting and killing. Her farther took Ashley to Harbin China were she trained with her aunt to become an Assassin.

For the next 5 years Ashley trained in Bokator and Boli khela. After her training she joined the U.S army for a short time when for 3 years Ashley stayed with the military receiving all kinds of weapons training, once she left the military Ashley became the Assassin she was men't to be mostly helping out the military by taking out high profile targets with her brother Axton.

During on of her missions Ashley met Catherine in the medical bay. after a few years of dating Ashley married Catherine, once she was married she continued being an Assassien until she became pregnant with her first child.after she gave birth to her kid Ashley became a doctor with her wife and is working in A Alaskan hospital but she still trainees with her brother.

Backround: Elizabeth was born in Santa Ana, California and grew up in until the early years of her life. Her mother, only seventeen at the time of her birth, did her best to support her young daughter but her job as a model soon came to end after the pregnancy. Tragically, Elizabeth's mother later died two years later as a result of a traffic accident where a middle aged man got behind the wheel of an SUV while intoxicated and struck her while she was crossing the street. This left her living at her grandmother's up until the age of 7 when her grandmother moved away due to the price of living in California skyrocketing due to economical issues. Now, abandoned for the second time Elizabeth had been sent to live with her uncle only 26, in Stolkholm, Sweden as he was an overseas worker. Despite the constant moving from household to household Elizabeth was never happier than when she lived with her uncle. He had been only 19 at the time of her birth and now he was working as a geothermal engineer. She never really adopted the Swedish language as her own she was still excited to be living in a stable home. Since her uncle was a geothermal engineer he made a lot of money at his job and nearly all surplus money went towards her, her uncle treating her as his own kid. When she began high school years later it turned out that she was not growing as fast as the other girls in her school and she was as small as a mouse compared to her fellow classmates. During her time in high school she developed a particular skill in basic health and medicine and decided to become a doctor. At the age of 20 she graduated college with her diploma and her medical license and was ready to set out for her life. It was around that time that multiple attacks happened on multiple cities around the globe. She was approached by a government official to work as a doctor for an organization that needed some. She went a long and agreed joining the XCOM project soon after. However, a week after she was shipped out a malfunction happened at her uncle's place of business and he was sadly killed. Elizabeth was immediately shattered from the news but still agreed to join XCOM for reasons she hasn't told anyone.

Psychological Profile: Elizabeth is a very intelligent individual who expresses great pride in her work of medicine. Due to recent events however she has been depressed and sullen as to be expected as a result of losing a loved one. This on top of her past experiences of being left alone has made her wary of relationships and attachments although no less social. When put on the spot light however she gets extremely shy but rarely shows this at work. She loves to play pool, read books, and play chess.

Appearance: Elizabeth is a very beautiful and petite woman who has soft features on her face resembling heavily of her mother. She has jet black hair that she usually holds back into a pony tail, and vibrant green eyes. She does wear prescription eye glasses from time to time but mostly sticks to contact lenses that change her eyes from a vibrant green to a glowing purple. Attire wise she usually wears a lab coat over a green turtle neck and beige khakis with her hair in a ponytail as her work clothes and a button up shirt with denim jacket, black jeans, high brown boots and a denim colored flat cap with her hair down when she is off work.

Biography: Markus was born to a well off family in the city of Sydney. He had an older brother and a slightly older sister who were not to far from his age. At a young age, Markus was adored by his family, but in particular his other siblings and as time went on the three were almost inseparable. They did anything from walk home to school together, go shopping, and they even got in trouble together. His older brother, Will was the athlete of the three, playing multiple sports but none were his favorite other than soccer, a sport in which Markus had grown to like as well. His sister on the other hand was a complete nerd, reading comic books and playing video games, also pastimes he had come to love. However there was no one in his family he respected more than his grandfather. He was an ex army sniper who had fought in Vietnam while he lived in the United States. During school breaks, Markus would always love to visit his grandfather out in the Outback.

It was his grandfather who had taught him how to shoot a rifle and how to hunt for different wildlife. On many of these hunting trips that Markus had gone on, he had his grandfather had happened onto a litter of dingo pups that had been seemingly abandoned, one was a beige color, one was orange, and the last was black. Markus brought home the pups and he and his siblings each trained their respective pup. Will named his black pup Lionel, after the famous soccer player, Chelsea had named her orange one Gaige after one of her favorite video game characters, and Markus had named his Riley, at the suggestion of his grandfather who explained he once had a dog named that. So the three raised them and pretty soon they had become as much a part of the three of them as the siblings did.

Unfortunately, time moved on and it was soon time for Markus to go to college as his brother earned a scholarship for his soccer skills and Chelsea had gone off to learn how to create video games. Markus didn't really know what he wanted to do until he discovered his love for biology. He had such a fascination with evolution and how the body worked that he had decided to make a career out of it. He studied for years and he finally graduated college. Markus was happy to be doing what he was in college but he was approached by a man who had offered him an internship at a private company. Markus gladly accepted and soon he found himself in a whole new world.

Appearence: He has long, salty blond hair and very light blue eyes. His clothing usually consists of a a normal faded T-Shirt or the occasional soccer shirt he received from his brother, a pair of loose fitting jeans and some skating shoes. He has a silver Knight's Templar pendant across his neck.

Personality: Markus is a very happy person, who is rarely seen in a bad mood. He may come off as childish or annoying by some but deep down he really cares for the feelings of the people around him and try to help them out as best he can. Markus is always with his dog, Riley and the two rarely ever separate, even at work.

Training: Markus has had some formal instruction from his grandfather on the use of long range rifles. Markus has dabbled into the field of medicine as a biologist and can treat many ailments.

His ruffian background belays a surprisingly impressive marksmanship score and sharp tactical mind. Nico’s strengths involve assaults, assassinations, escorts, and sniping; however, he is inexperienced at pure stealth operations and is poor at capturing hostile targets alive.

Appearance: Nico has dark tan skin typical of his heritage and black, short hair. He wears a thin goatee and beard of the same color. A frequent exerciser, he is well built with a considerable amount of muscle mass, but still maintains a high degree of athleticism and flexibility. He is very identifiable: he has a large tribal tattoo on his left arm and a large cross with the name “Sebastián” on the right arm. He also has scars from various knife and bullet wounds across his arms and chest, as well as a large burn scar on his right leg.

Pre-Service History: Born to Samuel Henderson and Pearl Tuft, Fay had all the makings of a gifted, intellectual, outgoing young girl. However, her father was deployed to Kuwait in Operation Desert Storm, and returned with a Purple Heart, two less legs, and the memories of how his two best friends died. This trauma sparked a change in the man, and as a method of dealing with the PTSD he constantly denied he had, he became verbally and emotionally abusive towards his wife and daughter, driving the latter to emotional isolation and a laconic method of speech.

While Fay had a talent for advanced mathematics, even completing a second-year Calculus course in her junior year of high school, Samuel had other designs for his daughter: she was to join the Marines and have the glorious military career he could no longer have. Where most kids her age were out having fun and making friends, she was down at the range, being drilled in marksmanship and basic infantry tactics. Throughout the countless hours of training, Fay became quite skilled as a marksman, but grew to resent, and eventually hate, her father for using her as an instrument for fulfilling his own dreams.

Service History: Upon graduation in 2003, she enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After completing boot camp training, she was deployed to Camp Mujuk in Korea, where she served for six years, and was eventually was promoted to Lance Corporal, receiving her Bachelor's in Mathematics, with a specialization in Trigonometry, at the same time. After this, she returned to the States to attend the USMC Scout Sniper Corps training school at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia. She passed with flying colors, for instance during the stalking portion of the training, she scored, over ten stalks, an average grade of 90% and six 100% grades. After graduating the basic course, Fay went on to complete the Urban Snipers course, finishing in mid-2013.

She was assigned to 1st Battalion, 8th Marines, based out of Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, and until early 2015, had not seen combat. After mass terrorist attacks, the Battalion was deployed to Lebanon in support of international operations against the new threat. For the three years Fay served in the Middle East, she received her most recent promotion to Staff Sergeant, undertook numerous mission in support of ground elements, and joined the ‘over-1,250m kill’ club with a shot from an M107A1 killing an enemy officer at 1,637m. With the attack of the alien menace and the subsequent redeployment of American soldiers to protect their country, Fay is now based out of Camp Lejeune.

Skills: A marksman to the extreme, Fay uses her natural talent for advanced mathematics to complement the accuracy and gunnery habits drilled into her by her father. She is unflinchingly loyal and willing to carry out any order given, even those which might be deemed immoral at a later date. She is proficient with a wide-variety of American made small arms, but naturally specializes in marksman and sniper rifles, as well as pistols. Fay is also skilled in tracking, stalking, stealth, and other field-craft in forested, desert, and urban environments.

Psychological Notes: Almost never have I seen a more fitting stereotype of the cold sniper. She’s closed off, blunt to the extreme in speech, and takes her job to the level of an art. It leaves me wondering just what she experienced throughout her life. But what raises the most questions is the existence of her book of poetry. Is this how she remains stable despite her past? And just what is enclosed in that notebook? But regardless, I can sign her off as being fit for service in XCOM.

Bio: Jake led the life of a typical Upper-Middle class American boy throughout most of his childhood. The only son of a prominent surgeon father and a popular OB/GYN doctor mother, Jake seemed destined to a profession in the medical field. Deciding his interest fell towards the inner workings of the mind at an early age, Jake started studying therapy, psychology, and psychoanalysis shortly after he started high school. When his parents were offered respectable positions in Japan, he resisted at first, not wanting to leave his friends behind, as most sixteen year olds wouldn't, but did not resist for long, deciding that this would be an excellent opportunity to study another culture, something not everyone gets the chance to do.

When the aliens attacked, Jake lost both of his parents when an abduction pod crashed through their house and crushed the pair, who were sitting together in their living room. Unsure of how to react upon finding them, Jake went to his neighbors house for help. Finding both parents dead there as well, the victims to plasma fire, he attempted to rescue their daughter, but both were captured.

Jake was eventually rescued from an abductee ship, but not before being the subject of experimentation. Most of his digestive and respiratory system were replaced with cloned replacements in an attempt to fix medical issues Jake had since birth. They succeeded, though Jake would naturally take his own organs back in exchange for the return of his family. He also received psionic testing, though the methods used on him were crude and incomplete. He has so far only gained empathic abilities.

Jake has three times attempted to be accepted amongst the soldiers of X-COM, and has three times failed. He has instead taken up a position as a security guard, spending most of his time in the refugee area while occasionally volunteering for duty in the brig.

Appearance: Jake does not stand out in a crowd, but is otherwise fairly handsome. He is in decent shape, if not athletic. He has what others have referred to as a "honest face", though he has never learned what that means exactly. He keeps himself tidy, his hair well kept, and his face clean shaven.

Personality: Jake is outwardly optimistic, partially to bring up the mood of those around him, partially to fight a bout with depression he had upon first arriving at X-COM. He wishes to help everyone he can, and that can often lead to others taking advantage of him, even when he realizes that is exactly what is happening. He is loyal to his comrades, and even more loyal to his friends. If he has one major weakness, it is his nervousness around the opposite sex, particularly those who are unattached and he is attracted to. His roommates have teased him that the only thing that can control him easier then an alien's mind-control is the sight of a crying woman.

He currently shares a room with three teenage friends from Japan, and acts as a big brother of sorts for them, doing what he can to keep them out of trouble. It isn't easy, but he's managed thus far, and they support him as much as he supports them.

Bio: Rei and Hitomi's respective parents were good friends before the girls were born, and the two grew up together, becoming close after they started school. At the age of seven, Hitomi lost her parents in a car accident. Rei's parents fought and eventually won a custody battle with Hitomi's uncle, her only other living relative. Despite the decision that he was unfit to raise Hitomi, he continued to fight to overturn the decision, though he mysteriously ceased his attempts when she reached her teens.

At the age of ten, the pair became a trio when Rei and Hitomi defended Keiko from a group of bullies, and decided to take the shy, introverted girl, and help her become more self-confident. The three have been inseparable since then, doing everything together, making decisions together, supporting each other. After the loss of their respective parents, the second set for Hitomi, the only thing that kept them from breaking down was each other.

While Hitomi and Rei had a fairly traumatizing time, Keiko had the worst of it. Prematurely set for harvesting, she was found in the midst of the procedure when X-COM came to their rescue, opened up with her organs exposed. Had the machine not already been set up for the process, allowing it to be reversed, she would have died there.

With nowhere else to go, their homes destroyed and their families gone, they where forced to stay in the X-COM refugee area. They insisted on sharing a room with Keiko's neighbor and friend, Jake, as he had protected them while on the abductee ship.

Appearances: All of them are fairly cute. They're petite, though Rei in particular has stated to develop. Rei has an inquisitive look to her eye, and purposely wears glasses rather then contacts because she feels they 'suit her'. Hitomi has a perpetual mischievous look to her, and Keiko has big, puppy-dog eyes that melt the hearts of even the angriest grump. Rei typically dresses in plain clothing, more for purpose then style. Hitomi dresses for comfort, and a lot of the time, one could call her clothes 'tomboyish'. Keiko, on the other hand, has a lot of 'girly' clothes, and wears a dress whenever able.

Personalities: Rei is the leader, Hitomi the tough one, and Keiko the romantic. Rei is usually the one to make the decisions for the three, though she always listens to her friends, and has been convinced on more then one occasion to do things against her better judgement. She is very serious, but she has a playful side she keeps just beneath the surface. She's incredibly inquisitive and intelligent, wise beyond years, and uses the majority of that intelligence for the sake of her friends.

Hitomi has a tendency to act first and think later. Smart but impulsive, she's usually worried more about what is fun then what makes sense. Rei has done what she can to keep her friend under wraps, and Hitomi has improved. Her recklessness reaches its peak when standing up to her friends. She would, and has, stand face to face against a Muton to protect them. In the last year or so, she and Rei have realized that after nearly a decade and a half of friendship, there might be a bit more between them, though at their young ages, their 'against the norm' feelings are confusing.

Keiko is a dreamer, and a hopeless romantic. She often acts as a go between for the other two, not as serious as Rei, but not as carefree as Hitomi. She can be a bit clueless at times, and often misses subtleties, but the big things are apparent enough. She's by far the most 'girly' of the trio, and has no problem acting the part. She is infatuated with Jake, something that started before the aliens came, but intensified after every thing he did to protect her. He is aware of this, and has made it clear that the feelings can't be mutual, their age gap too great, but that doesn't stop her from trying. She has developed an odd defensive mechanism for the negative emotions she feels towards others she sees as rivals for Jake's affection, justified or not, as she doesn't like feeling said emotions; she gives them a gift as a peace offering, often something she made herself, such as origami. The bigger the gift you get, the more she sees you as a rival.

Bio: The youngest of the seven by nearly nine decades, some within the Ethereal order believe Luxuria has been the subject of nepotism, but in reality, she worked hard for her position. She was able to get off psionic support much earlier then most young Ethereals, pushed her psionics to the limit to improve them, and quickly found out who to support and what to say to make her look good.

Luxuria speaks in an odd mix of two voices, a male voice that is forceful and seductive, and a female voice that is nurturing and persuasive. The true reason is a mystery to many, even amongst the Ethereals. She is normally calm, though is fairly selfish and greedy, particularly when it comes to her secret goals of finding a young, supple body to take over. She is not only good at manipulating others, she gets off on getting others to do her dirty work for her.

Views on the 'Path': Luxuria believes that the true way to reach Ascension is to bring the universe together as one race in the most literal way possible. Her desires to combine her mind with another's body has more selfish purposes, however. While sharing the Ethereal's general vanity, she is not vain in one particular field; appearance. She feels it was a mistake to give up one's physical beauty. This, combined with youthful impulsiveness has resulted in her trying to rush the unity of those possessing the Gift.

Views on Humanity: Luxuria looks down on humanity as peons to be manipulated. Her experiments to find her perfect body is evidence on her views of them, giving most of them little more thought then one would a lab rat. She does, however, see potential in them, andshould she find one that has or could reach the strength of the Ethereals, she would view them as something akin to an equal. It is for this reason that she has chose the humans as the ones she should combine her consciousness, provided they can prove themselves.

Relationship to the Seven: Luxuria has little a primarily neutral opinion of her colleagues. She looks down on Gula for his weakness, and Acadia for her sloth, but other then that, she holds them above other races, as they are Ethereals. She thinks higherly of Superbia. She has what might be considered a friendship with Avaritia, or at least, the closest the Ethereals can come to such a relationship. She is annoyed by Invidia, and while she does look down on Gula for being weak, she still feels her deserves his position more then Invidia, regardless of his strength. She oddly has little to say about Ira, and he has little to say about her, and the two seem to ignore each other whenever possible.

Bio: One would think a being that has been around for, in Earth time, over five hundred years would be a force to be feared, but unlike Luxuria, Gula really is the subject of nepotism, as he really only gained his position as a last minute replacement for his 'mother', who was lost during the last push against the Ethereal's main resistance. Gula is much weaker then his associates, and is quite cowardly, at least be Ethereal standards.

Despite this, Gula is still stronger then most Ethereals, and has his own unique talents. His desire to feed his own gluttonous appetite for more power he hasn't actually worked for has led to him producing his own, unique power. A variance of the mind merge, instead of lending his own strength to another, he drains it from his target, leaching psionic energy from them like a vampire. He has a particular taste for other purple psions, as well as blue psions.

Views on the 'Path': Gula follows whatever views his superiors have on the Path. It is hard to nail down his personal views when he is constantly bending to the views of others. What is known is he views the Gift as a means to get things done with minimal work, and to feed is never ending need for self gratification.

Views on Humanity: Gula looks down on humanity, seeing them as little more then objects, and has no qualms about using them until they break. If it is any consolation, he has a slightly higher opinion of them then non-psionic aliens, as at least the humans can have energy drained from them.

Relationship to the Seven:
Gula is intimidated by his colleagues for the most part. The closest he comes to respecting any of them is with Superbia and Acadia, and that likely comes from them barely paying him mind. Avaritia and Luxuria look down on him for his weakness, something he would rather resent them for then try to improve on, and Ira and Invidia have no qualms about pushing their weight on him, something he would rather despise them for then stand up for himself about.

Bio: The best term to describe Avaritia is 'relaxed'. He is a strong follower of the Path, including the idea of other races joining the Ethereal on their journey towards Ascension. While he is still vain and sees himself far, far beyond any other race, he still tries to submerge himself in the worlds he helps show the path, He has allowed the cultures and traits of the humans to effect how he thinks and acts, something that has happened to all of the Ethereals to some degree. But where they deny and hide it, he embraces it.

Not to say that he'll act defiant. Again, he has the utmost faith in the Ethereal's goals, if for no reason then because adding the humans to their numbers would give him more underlings to add to his person possessions. Despite him seeing them as potential things to be owned, he has the most respect for the humans out of the seven, and would love to see them join the path, more so then any other species they have encountered so far.

He lives up to his name, and is always eager to increase his possessions. Other then that, he is the patient sort, always willing to let things play out and act accordingly.

Views on the 'Path': Avaritia is one of the most devoted followers of the Path. This can be seen in how much of the local cultures he absorbs. He isn't the biggest supporter of the idea of 'one race', if only because it would be boring and making a lot of his possessions pointless. But he is always willing to go with the flow and change his plans as needed.

Views on Humanity: Humans, like all other races, are beneath the Ethereals, and there is very little flexibility on that view. That aside, Avaritia finds humans to be quite a fascinating people, and wouldn't mind them joining the path. He even keeps a few of them, intact and well cared for. However, one shouldn't get the wrong impression from this. They are still little more then pets, and Avaritia still conducts the usual gruesome experiments on humans.

Avaritia is a strong supporter of throwing money and promises of power around to gain favor over throwing force around.

Relationship to the Seven: Avaritia has respect for Superbia, and follows his lead for most things. He finds Ira and Acedia to be boring, the former way to serious about everything, the latter not serious enough. Gula and Invidia make for fun targets, though teasing to him is far more serious to his vain, self-absorbed targets. He enjoys the company of Luxuria, though the two often bump heads, as Avaritia's relaxed nature and patience at times clashes with Luxuria's youthful impulsiveness and impatience.

Bio: Lazy, uncaring, unwanting of attention, unwanting of most things. Acedia is the equivalent of a spoiled rich kid that was catered her whole life until her parents got fed up and insisted she get a job or they're taking away her Lamborghini. There is a good reason she commands Antartica, and in truth, she can barely be trusted with that, and feels it is unfair she should have to be bothered with it. She'll follow orders like the rest, but the Honored Overseer has had to learn to ignore the complaint she has over every... little... thing. Many of the Ethereals show the risk the Gift has to the mentality of one in possetion of it in terms of ego and the view of self. Acedia shows the risk in having an ability that makes things so incredibly easy, and allows you to push others into doing your work.

Of course, she is an Ethereal, and she does have a job to do. She complain about everything, but she'll still do her job. Whatsmore, she might be lazy, and in truth bearly uses her powers unless she has to, but even this doesn't make her weak. Decades of conserving energy, mostly from not being bothered to use it, has gained her a massive energy pool, so while she can arguably only use the simplest abilities, these abilities will be far, far stronger then one would expect. She could be one of the best, if only she cared enough to even try.

Views on the 'Path':
Acedia follows the Path as much as much as most of the other Ethereals. The closer they get to finally achieving their goals, the sooner she can get back to doing nothing of importance. She'll keep moving towards the Path of Acsencion, she just wishes someone else could do it. Regardless, she will fight, and even get angry, should her views be challenged. It is one of the few ways to get a rise out of her.

Views on Humanity:
Humans are pawns, little more. She cares little for them. As one of the most resistant races they've encountered thus far, she wants to just abandon Earth and find people that won't be as much trouble. Of course, such a resistance is encountered in almost every race they've come across. The humans weren't the first, and should the Ethereals win, they won't be the last. Acedia is just looking for something to complain about.

Relationship to the Seven:
Acedia resents Superbia and for making her work so much, but that can be said about practically every other Ethereal above her. She connects to Gula in some respects, as neither are very enthusiastic about their job. Her views on the rest are generally apathetic, though she secretly admires the enthusiasm Luxuria, Ira, and even Invidia show. She just can't be bothered to emulate it.

Ira has the hardest time controlling himself. Unlike the other Ethereals like Superbia and the Honored Overseer, who can keep their cool in the most difficult of times, Ira is prone to lose his temper. Still, he has a job to do, and he does it well. He commands the most outward fear from those under him, and he thrives on it. His psionic abilities associated with physical manifestation, particularly when it comes to destruction, are his forte.

He is quick to resolve most situations with the most direct approach, even if the most direct approach is killing everyone in his path. Regardless, he is extremely loyal, and when in control of himself, is one of the most trustworthy of the Ethereals in following the path, perhaps even more so then Superbia

Views on the 'Path':
Ira will follow that Path to the letter, as defined by those above him. He isn't one to do what he is told with out thinking, but he does have faith in these beliefs. All those how stand in opposition to the Path must be dealt with swiftly and indiscriminately, and he has no qualms about dealing with them himself.

Views on Humanity:
Ira primarily sees humanity as a means to an end. His respect for a species so fiercely fighting back is countered by his temper and irritation for their refusal to bow down to such a superior force. Whereas most alien would have realized they were outmatched by now, and they were only being toyed with, Ira is not aire if the humans are to blind to realize this, or if they are really so stubborn not to care. Either way, his Ethereal ignorance wins out in the end, and he thinks little of them and their plight.

Relationship to the Seven:
Ira is Superbia and the Path's most loyal follower. He looks down on his weaker brethren, despite this not being something Ethereals do, at least not so openly. Invidia annoys him, but he respects him for his strength. He wish Avaritia would get serious. He doesn't understand why the High Ones waste their time with Acedia or Gula. Oddly, he has little to say about Luxuria, but seems to look down on her like he does with the others.

Invidia is an ass. The best way to describe him/her is a bratty rich kid that is quicker to blame others for his/her failings. Still, (s)he is good at her job, and extremely powerful, only getting stuck with her position over the smallest Continent because of her bad attitude.

Invidia demands absolute loyalty from his/his followers, and tends to be even more cruel then Ira with them. (S)he loves to manipulate others, and is willing to do things with the lives of others that would make Luxuria look like a saint. In the end, most Ethereals would argue they are not evil, even if their actions would be accused of being evil. Invidia doesn't care who thinks (s)he is evil. If (s)he were to be characterized under human terms, one might say (s)he suffers from severe ASPD.

Views on the 'Path':
Invidia follows the path only as far as it gets him/her what (s)he wants. (S)he views it as a means to gain power, both for him/herself, and over others. Whether that will continue if a better oportunity presents itself is in question, and this means Invidia poses a threat to humanity and the Path alike, the (s)he was grown quite good at hiding this from the latter.

Views on Humanity:
Invidia's views on humans are the exact opposite of Avaritia, seeing them as inferior beings not worthy of the gift, or the Ethereals' time. Humanity shouldn't take this personal, as (s)he sees practically ever other race in the galaxy in the same light, believing the gift should be reserved for the Ethereals alone. If anything, humanity should see his/her hatred of them as a compliment, as his/her hatred of them stems from how close they are to proving him/her wrong.

Relationship to the Seven:
Invidia knows his/her strength equals the Honored Overseer, and shows him only enough respect to avoid getting in trouble with the other Ethereals. (S)he makes indirect comments every now and then to imply the Honor Overseer does not deserve his position, though even if the Overseer cared about such petty comments, he knows it is only because Invdia is bitter that he was chosen over him/her. One might believe this would mean (s)he respects Superbia, but this would imply (s)he has respect for anyone. As for the rest of the seven, (s)he questions them at every turn, especially when they possess something Invidia believes (s)he deserves more, which is practically everything.

Bio:
Superbia is the most like minded to the Honored Overseer. Calm, debonair, completely loyal to the cause, at least externally. While he is a proud being, and can be victim to overconfidence like the others, he is the most knowledgeable of the risk his pride can present, and thus is sure to take every aspect of the humans serious, from their potential, to their threat. His views on the Path, his superiors, the humans possibility of joining them, and many other things is a mystery. It was he that suggestef that they humor the humans and embrace the names they have given the Ethereals, at least as long as the are on Earth. Most of what he does and says seems to be to prove he isn't proud, though this does give the sense of overcompensation.

Views on the 'Path':
Superbia means to follow the Path rigidly, with the only one who appears to be more devoted being Ira. However, he often asks for clarification on the views of the Path and its meaning from his Superiors. While this might suggest a lack of knowledge, at 625 Earth years of age, it is unlikely he doesn't no all the ins and outs. More then likely, he is attempting to to question the Path indirectly.

Views on Humanity:
Superbia seems to hold humanity in high regards (again, at least on the surface). As usual, they mean little on an individual level, and he has no problem threatening, killing, and experimenting on them, but as a whole, he will bring them in on the Path should they prove worthy. Whether he agrees that the humans should replace the Ethereals should they prove stronger with the gift is another story.

Relationship to the Seven:
Superbia tends to outwardly speak in the best regards about the other Ethereal Overseers. In private, it is another matter. He attempts at all times to keep each in check, even if he pretends not to recognize their individual flaws. Whether it be Avaritia's attachment to the humans, Invidia's impulsive youth, or Ira's temper, Superbia has done well to keep everyone in check. How long that will last will likely depend on the actions of their human enemies.

Bio: Although Saka's name is Japanese, she is very much French, though her accent has completely faded and she considers herself in particular to be Japanese. She doesn't remember much of her early life or even how she got to Japan in the first place but what she does know and remember is that she was taken in at around the age of seven by the Hatakes. There she learned the art of combat and other necessary skills in order to become an accomplished 'Kunoichi'.

At the age of twelve, she was sent to become a ward with the Otohara clan, learning to progress her skills even farther than what the Hatakes could teach on their own. It was there she would meet best friend, Desmond Walker, who was sixteen at the time. The two's relationship is best described as one of those friendships that people would never seeing working out. Desmond, who was focused on training, would always be caught in trouble with Saka, who was more adventurous and out there. However, three years later, the two were separated after the PMC attack on the Otoharan enclave in which both people believed the other dead. Saka voraciously survived the explosion which Desmond thought had killed her, by hiding under the floorboards of the building, one which she frequently visited.

Over the next couple of years, Saka would take control and lead the Hatakes, much to her own disappointment and boredom. Although she wasn't a bad leader, he inexperience cast a bad shadow over her in the eyes of the others.

Appearance: Saka is a very beautiful girl, with smooth pale skin and a very well toned body from years of training. She usually keeps her hair down, though on occasions will braid in up French style. Her normal attire usually consist of a simple dress, though her more casual attire usually consists of an over sized graphic tee and loose fitting jeans.

Personality: Saka is very much a laid back person, but not to the point you could call her lazy, in fact quite the opposite. Her approach to most situations are either go in, looking to earn a smile or just as a casual socialite. She is fascinated by beautiful plants and animals and has a very soft nature. In battle, she is very much capable on taking care of her own but it is sometimes her lack of control to calm down when the situation calls for that earns her a bit of a rep on the field.

Training: Much like Desmond, she is a master at CQC, almost able to claim she is better than him. Her expertise in weaponry is more suited for precision rather than heavier combat roles, though she is not at all a dedicated sniper, as her personality rather conflicts with the sort of nature expected of a calm and collected marksman. She is not afraid to get behind a precision rifle though and prefers small weapons rather than the big ones. Her mobility is better than Desmond's though she is less muscular than he is.
