X-COM THINK TANK (Out of Character Discussion about X-COM and the Series)

...um, I think you're over thinking the joke.

X-COM THINK TANK (Out of Character Discussion about X-COM and the Series)

Hmm, maybe, but that just sounds like rationalizing bad programming. I really think friendly fire is too high, especially considering how distinct the enemy is. If long war really lowered it, I think it was a wise choice.

X-COM THINK TANK (Out of Character Discussion about X-COM and the Series)

Here's a topic of discussion; panic. I get that when a soldier panics he might do something stupid, like shot at an enemy that is too hard to hit, or run into not-so-smart cover. It's realistic. I wouldn't mind it if there was a chance they'd use a sub-weapon, wasting a grenade on an enemy I...

X-COM THINK TANK (Out of Character Discussion about X-COM and the Series)

Well, non-soldiers during the base defense just requires a bit of imagination. For example, for the scientist I plan to use, I have a log planned to include the fear and problems she experiences being surround by hostiles as the soldiers around her start dying and she has no combat experience. I...

X-COM THINK TANK (Out of Character Discussion about X-COM and the Series)

I can't remember, Odd had limit on character age, right? Do you think he would let that slide for non-combatants? I mean, if someone is hitting the field, they need to be in prime shape to fight, so no matter how skilled they are, a six year old boy or a ninety year old woman would be...

X-COM THINK TANK (Out of Character Discussion about X-COM and the Series)

I've got the name, stats, background, and application ready, but when I start to think of an idea, I can't stop thinking about it until I'm finished with the idea.

X-COM THINK TANK (Out of Character Discussion about X-COM and the Series)

It might be a little presumptuous to be planning for season six already. That being said, I already have an individual by the name of Sunny Randolph ready for season six's engineering section, so I guess I'm not one to talk.

X-COM THINK TANK (Out of Character Discussion about X-COM and the Series)

That was the same thing with Ayame, which was an on situation for me. Essentially, I wanted to interact with others while playing a character who was antisocial and partially afraid of most of the men on the base.

Good to hear you're working at it. I hope to see you in season five 5 (and I hope to be there with you).

X-COM THINK TANK (Out of Character Discussion about X-COM and the Series)

I see. I do like the idea of going over all that stuff you get after the final mission. I always hated how the game just says, "Here's some stuff you can sell or whatever," and then forgets about EXALT. The first time I played Enemy Within, I was expecting one final desperation attack before the...

X-COM THINK TANK (Out of Character Discussion about X-COM and the Series)

If you are open to critiques, I do have one or two. Overall, it all looks interesting, and having EXALT's name being the family name of it's creator is a good idea. But the impression that I got from this is that the Exalt name is one of the most well known in the world. Someone in X-COM not...

I'm still nervous when dealing with new people. I just have more confidence now.

X-COM THINK TANK (Out of Character Discussion about X-COM and the Series)

I'm glad I could help. That's one of the funnest things about this, knowing I'm entertaining others. I'm a people pleaser, for better or for worse (usually worse, but that's neither here nor there), and I gain my happiness through the joy I bring to others, which is why during season three, I...

X-COM THINK TANK (Out of Character Discussion about X-COM and the Series)

If people want to go solo, that's fine, there have been some great posts from people that did their own thing. I just felt that collaborative posts made things interesting, and I felt that the posting limit meant people might have to turn down what could have been great collabs. No one said...

X-COM THINK TANK (Out of Character Discussion about X-COM and the Series)

I don't feel the rules were "bad", per se, as the were well intentioned to be sure, I just think they went a little over board. Limiting who can post and how often they can post helps keeps the volume down for people who have trouble keeping up, but by limiting posts to one a week, it cripples...
