She's conflicted. On one hand Ayame is the closest friend she's had since military school, and since she's pansexual she finds the idea of being a bit more then friends appealing. However since she feels cursed in the same sense that Ayame does she doesn't she doesn't feel very comfortable with the idea.

That is a problem. The confliction cause by losing those close to you would cause one to fear getting close to anyone.

Sounds like an issue that the two of them should discuss when Ayame asks Persephone what she'd said.
