Humans (foreign)-​

Humans are bipedal mammals with two arms and legs with varying skin tones of warm ivory to dark chocolate. They are quite ingenious and tend to make up for their lack of defensive or offensive abilities. They are highly social, often making friends within their species as well as outside of it with the other intelligent races. They are the most cunning race, capable of planning (in the extreme cases) for decades or generations long after they are gone. They can fulfill all roles but tend towards more scientific pursuits where their ingenuity shines.



Traits: Ingenuity, Gregarious, Cunning,

Lifespan: 80-100 Years



Nix (elves, foreign)-​

The Nix are tall and slender mammals with two arms and legs, with varying dark skin tones of blue to grey, with red, green and purple eyes. Thanks to their long lives, they are able to accrue a significant knowledge base and use it with outright outstanding results. They are disciplined in a way few can match- even the Earthkin of the New Lands and as a result are typically arrogant when presented with new acquaintances. Like Humans, they can fulfill any role, but a structured existence as either the ruling elites or those entrusted with important duties is usually where you can find them.



Traits: Disciplined, Knowledgeable, Cunning, Arrogance

Lifespan: 400-550 Years



Nin (Halfbreed, foreign) -​

Half-breeds of Nix and Humans, they are expert plotters who can usually outperform their parent races when it comes to sheer cunning. Combining the best traits of both their parent species, they are able to utilize their ingenuity with an extensive knowledge base and craft the most cunning of plans. This, of course, has earned them the distrust of both Nix and Humans, as their roguish abilities often pits them against allies as well as their foes. It should also be said while Nix are a fairly large species, recent events have seen them as rarer species to encounter.



Traits: Ingenuity, Knowledgeable, Cunning, Distrusted

Lifespan: 150-200 Years



Vansyr (Orcs, foreign)-​

The Vansyr are tall, muscular mammals with two arms and legs, with sharp tusks poking up and down out of their mouths; they have varying skin tones of dark green to light green… however, Vansyr can be red. They are supremely strong, capable of in an army of rending nations to the ground. However, of all foreign races, the Vansyr suffered the most in the War of Obedience as their strength made them sought after soldiers, which helped contribute to their low population. Vansyr often focus on martial matters, being superb warriors with remarkable discipline when needed, but should there be no battle to fight, the Vansyr seek anything to captivate them, resulting in unfortunate levels of impatience. They do have an honor code that helps to cage some of their worst habits.

Traits: Strength, Discipline, Honor-bound, Impatient

Lifespan: 50-75 Years



Vanan (Halfbreed, foreign)-​

Half-breeds of Humans and Vansyr, the Vanan are remarkable tacticians, able to utilize the ingenuity that their Human parents have as well as the martial prowess the Vansyr possess, culminating in a deadly warrior who knows how to trap their foes. Besides their wartime acumen, they are also highly gregarious to a fault; they are far friendlier than the Vansyr, allowing them to act as diplomats for their erstwhile cousins. Given the fact that they are a halfbreed, they are far rarer than the major races. Much like the Vansyr, they have light green skin, while their hair often appears more like humans' in length and temperament. One key thing to note; Vanans are far stronger than they appear to be, which is surprising given their fairly average body type.

Lifespan:70-90 Years



Vanix (Halfbreed, foreign)-​

Halfbreed of the Nix and Vansyr, the Vanix act more like their Nixan heritage with one key difference; they are far more mercenary of a people than any other. Their services, which usually are of the highest quality, must be paid for, as they've grown distrustful of others who are not Vanix. However, they are usually found as mercenaries, physicians, and merchants due to their strict and miserly ways. Their appearance is more of a runner's build: tall, athletic, and strong., with naturally long hair inherited from their Nix brethren, while their skin tends to be a muted green to black.



Traits: Discipline, Strength, Distrust

Lifespan: 100-125 Years



Earthkin (Dwarf-like, natural)-​



The Earthkin are short and muscular crystalline creatures resembling humanoids, with skin tones matching precious gems. Females have specks of gemstones inbedded throughout their skin. Males have streaks of gemshards resembling veins running throughout their body. Maturing at about 80 years of age, Earthkin tend to stay within their family units until then. Earthkin easily identify and harvest minerals, excelling in excavation and trade. Earthkin are often passive but will defend if provoked, falling back on their sense of community.



Traits: Resilient, Perceptive, Stubborn

Lifespan: 300-500 Years



Thrope (natural)-​


Thropes are beings resembling humans in their younger years, but develop animal characteristics such as ears and tails as they age. What animal one embraces is not always fixed by family as one might expect, and instead is based on what animal their spirit most identifies with. Thropes have a lifespan of 200 years. By their fifteenth year, 75% of Thropes gain the ability to transform temporarily into an animal form. This can usually be gained up to a year before to a year after 15.



Traits: Varied, Primitive, Creative

Lifespan: 200 Years



Divus (draconian, natural)-​

The Divus are creatures who start out life as a wyrmling. Flight is achieved around two years old, their draconic wings strong enough to support their growing weight. Once they grow to full maturity after 50 years, they realize their ability to magically alter their form into a humanoid one. Their eggs are a precious commodity, as Divus frequently compete for territory and rarely settle down and mate. Recently, because of the influx of civilization, a large group of Divus has gathered in order to stake their claim on land and ensure that the rising number of pests will stay away and refrain from bothering them. The color of their scales determines what element they control mastery over.



Traits: Strong, Long Lives, Territorial, Stubborn, Distrustful

Lifespan: 600-1,000 Years, Maturity at 50

(Special Consideration: Most races have heard of the Divus but due to their low numbers, most people have never seen one)



Marjian (Naga, natural)-​

Marjian are humanoid creatures that consist of a fork tongue, keeled and glossy skin, and slit pupiled eyes. Often they are found by the banks of rivers in tropical climates, often by themselves. Should they be in a group of more than five, often, it is unlikely the one encountering them lives. Marjian have the ability to shapeshift between their human-like form and a feathered serpent -although- incapable of flight. Marjian are exceedingly fast, being able to slither faster than running; it is near impossible to outrun or out-swim them. Their fangs carry a paralytic that has a near-instant effect. They have tan to deep copper skin, light orange or green eyes, and are cool to the touch. Marjian are deeply independent and see armies or groups of explorers as weak. Females have a lighter athletic build than their male counterparts but are no less weaker than they are.

Traits: Stealthy, rapid, crafty

Lifespan: 400 years, maturity at 30



Note to anthropologists: The races listed in this tome are just the ones we know of, there may be half-breeds we do not know of or entirely new races we have yet to discover.
