That was great :3
Everyone loves chemistry humor. That, and a good dirty limerick.

In a continued attempt to keep us occupied, a question for Resident Evil fans.

Any other RE fans ever find it weird that the canon story for RE2 is the Claire story A/ Leon B story, despite the fact that Leon's disk was Disk 1? I've never been able to find out why. Were they planing on making Leon A/Claire B the canon story, but changed it later? Maybe the second story was more popular, so they changed the canon. Or maybe the initial developers liked the Leon A/Claire B, but the developers of the later games got the final say, and they liked the other story more.

Me? I felt the Leon A/Claire B story was the better canon, but to be fair, I wasn't the smartest gamer back then, and I never knew you could play Disk 2 first. The second story has grown on me in recent years. It probably just took me so long because I could imagine Ada getting lucky and surviving a long fall thanks to a conveniently placed mattress, but not surviving a direct attack from a T-103. And as far as Claire's story goes, the fact that Sherry was implanted by her mutated father...yeah, made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Of course, as an adult, I've now seen far, far worse in anime, so I'm good.

What about you guys? Which did you prefer? Why do you think they went with the canon they went with?

Sorry, I would love to talk about this stuff to, but the last couple of subjects were just uninteressting. RE is something I never played or watched someone play, back then my friends only talked about silent hill and that too I only watched my other friends play. So I know very little about that too sorry.

That's fair. I was just taking a shot at some subject to break the silence.

How about our character's from X-COM? Anyone wanna talk about our season five characters then?
What are you thinking in terms of development terms?
How far ahead do you think when making them?
Do you just make a basic character, and make it up as you go along, or do you make specific character traits.?
Do you just roll with the punches as the story comes along, and do you think ahead to specific events in the game, like the alien base assault or specific alien discoveries?
Do you like keeping you character simple, or do you like them complex?

Now that is something I can talk about xD
By Lüsett I'm thinking far ahead, got all the characters and such planned out for her. Getting to that point however took me a while, being someone who also draws a ton it's always hard to imagine a character that is unique in some way and has his pro's and con's. When it comes to events I just roll with them, and try to put them together with stuff I have planned out. For example, at one point I will have the VI from Lüsett question her mistress why she is the only one of her kind, lüsett will then be all like, the world is not ready for technology like you, alone the fight with the aliens is a test to see if we have what it takes to survive outside this planet jadajadajada. In all honesty I can not wait for season 5 any longer, I have some journal interaction pre written that I want to post :D

What are you thinking in terms of development terms? Secret.
How far ahead do you think when making them? Had a spurt of inspiration and jotted it down, not going to refine it until Odd says anything because I've made too many characters on various projects that never got to see any light.
Do you just make a basic character, and make it up as you go along, or do you make specific character traits.? Just some base stuff, nothing overly involved.
Do you just roll with the punches as the story comes along, and do you think ahead to specific events in the game, like the alien base assault or specific alien discoveries? Nope
Do you like keeping you character simple, or do you like them complex? Too me, the more detailed a character is at the start, the more restrictive they are.

I know what you mean. I have so many ideas of my own, more so now since I wasn't in season four and I've had plenty of time to think.

I try to think ahead myself, but just not too far ahead. You never know when things will dramatically change, nullifying your previous plans. Obviously, when it comes to events we know are going to happen, I can plan a lot more, but I try to leave openings in case things change. For example, I've started writing out a log based on the base assault mission, and for the most part, I've got my own thing going on, but I've left room in it to insert someone else, since I obviously don't know who my character will be associated with at that point. It's kind of like when I'm writing a RPG scenario. You have an overall story you want to tell, but you have to keep parts of it open, since your players are always going to do something you don't expect.

I've gotta tell you, PrismaCube, I'm really curious to see how you write an Exalt member. I can imagine about a dozen different ways you can play her, and I can't wait to see which one you go with.

O man season 5 I completely for got about it, but Eva I got her backstory done, Now I don't work but my brain is always thinking of stories to tell and characters to make and working on this military story.

But I came up with Eva when I saw X-COM always sending agents to exalts basses, and I decided to make a character that will not only infiltrate x-com but to manly sabotage the team and x-com it self. And because she is a spy she will of course hack in to the science and engendering wing, now fun part for me if season 5 happens and if I get in to it this time, My character will mostly screw with the x-com soldiers, manly hacking the security cameras and spying on all of them and going through soldiers journals so she can see what there emotions are like and learn more about the people she is working.

And I can not wait to taunt and spy on all of you in season 5.

That could be interesting. I will say that my character will have a secret or two she won't want to become general knowledge, as well as a fear or two that can be exploited. Not that I want to give anyone ideas on how to manipulate my own character, mind you, but for the sake of good story and role playing, I'd play along.

To a degree, that is. Don't go crazy, Dahlexpert. I'm all for a little manipulation (boy, that sounds wrong), but if you go too far, my character does have a certain side to her that won't stand for it.

O don't worry my character my be a spy,but she will never go to far she may use other people dark secret once, just to let them no that she noes your secret and that fear of having it exposed will be enough for her.

She never go full on jackass and constantly remind the person that,"if you don't do so and so i'm going to tell every one your secret,no she is a very nice person believe it or not so she will use the dark secret once and probable never use it again.

A spy with a kind heart, and a sabatour with a conscious, huh? Seems like something of an oxymoron, but I'll try to keep an open mind. Just be wary of those who would turn your character's own secret against her. Might I suggest, if she attempts to blackmail someone, she either does so while hiding her true intentions, or without actually revealing who she is. After all, you can only blackmail so many people before you come across at least one who would be willing to let their secrets out in order to reveal a spy.

Ou I expect at least one or two call her out on being a spy, now the thing with Eva is that she can make up any story that she wants if some one tries to look up her child hood she can make it up or what she did before the war she can make it up. The only person that will no the truth about my characters past is prismacube character.

now if people try to say that she is a spy she will admit that she is, and say that she worked for some government agency, and it's her job or force of habit to now every thing about people.

That's true, I suppose. Just be wary that if too many people get suspicious of her, and believe she's a spy, even if they think she's a spy on behalf of a government agency, hell, even if they think she's a spy sent by the X-COM committee itself, they aren't going to be very open to her, and will avoid her.

Think of it this way; you're working at someplace, let's say a drug store like Walgreens, and you just found out that one of your coworkers is an industrial spy from CVS. It's only natural that you'd turn against them. However, if you found out he works for Walgreens Corporate for the purpose of reporting laziness on the job, stealing, and anything else that will cost the company money, you would likely react the same way. Even if you have nothing to hide, even if you are a model employee, the fact that you know that person is spying on you, watching you for slip-ups, is going to result in you avoiding them like the plague, regardless of whether or not the company approves of them being there.

Do you get what I'm saying? I'm just trying to say that just because you can come up with an excuse that fools people doesn't mean they won't give you the evil-eye whenever you enter the room, and trust me, it is really hard to be a spy when no one wants to talk to you. (like that Paris mission all over again)
