the battle royale that we should have

Apex Legends: the battle royale we don't want

Fortnite: the battle royale that needs to die

Pubg: the only battle royale that has the right to exist
Except for the fact that PubG doesnt use any of it's vast earnings to actually make the game any better and that Apex Legends actually had some thought put into it instead of looking like a Garry's Mod Game like PubG.

Did I mention PubG is a glitch ridden shitshow? Oh yeah. It is.
Oi. The best battle royale was ancient Rome's.

better a game abandoned by it's creator then a game genre that had NO RIGHT to become popular. Especially since it's more then likely PlayerUnknown dropped his game because no one was playing it for the game anymore... they were playing it because Battle Royales were the next big thing. Apex is just one of the few games that actually did more then milk the BR cow for free money (which I appreciate) but in the end of the day: games like CoD BO4's Blackout mode (which replaced the fucking story mode) and Apex Legends only exist because companies want to cash in on the new rave before it burns out. Same thing happened to MMOs when WoW came out, as with MOBAs when League came out. Some producers actually do something that gives the genre a unique feel to it (such as Blackout and Apex) and others are just shoe horned for free money (such as Fortnite and Realm Royale). And I'm especially hateful towards Fortnite because it's success led to the end of PARAGON! One of only two third person MOBAs in existence that had really cool gameplay and style to it. Shutdown because Epic would rather keep the success of a last minute cash grab going the fix a game THAT COULD'VE BEEN SAVED!

Except Fortnite was not only third person but also a building game? Seems pretty different.

I don't even play BRs honestly, I just calls it like I sees it.

and not a MOBA... and it wasn't meant to be a BR in the first place. Fortnite was meant to be a coop base defense shooter game. But when the game was supposed to released they decided to take all of the games assets and build a BR game out of it bcause PUBG exploded around the same time the game was scheduled to release. Fortnite's "main" game got forgotten when the BR beta swept the field.

Fun fact: Fortnite was never meant to be f2p either, it was a buy to play game. the f2p part was added only to the BR version specifically to give PUBG a run for it's money.

...all 100 man battle royal games suck. They are an annoying fad, the videogame equivalent to pogs, except at least with pogs I got a couple cool slammers and a pog with the head of Scratchy's head from the Simpsons. In battle royal games, one out of 100 rounds are a game. The other 99 are you getting sniped right away or you hiding for fifteen minutes until the battle area shrinks and you get shot in the back while moving to cover.

That is the opinion of the Zombie...

Whatever makes money is what people will want to make. It's the nature of the system. People will see 'hey, people who do this make a ton of money, I want a ton of money, so I'll do that'. Anybody remember that wave of mediocre modern military FPSes that followed after Modern Warfare? Or the knock-offs of Doom? Or the Street Fighter 2 clones? What about mascot platformer collectathons? Or fantasy novels pitched as Game of Thrones/Hunger Games/Harry Potter killers? Or the wave upon wave up action movies that the only thing they had going for them was that one of the five action movie stars wanted a paycheck?

If Titanfall 3 hadn't been killed for Apex Predators, for example, it would have been killed for something else, because making games is about making money first and making a good game second. It's great when the two goals align, but I can't begrudge the devs when they don't.

Too true. Too true.

Question. Thoughts for my future LP. It will be modern day with modern day weapons, but I want it to be hard to get weapons so it isn't too easy. This means not in America. So what sounds more interesting?

The UK were most cops don't carry a handgun (unless you are in a firearm division) but it is easier (relatively speaking) for a civilian to get a fire arm?

Or Japan, were it is much, much harder for a civilian to get a gun (and impossible to get a pistol) but most cops have a standard issue firearm.

Japan. Most criminal organizations use melee weapons so it'd be an interesting situation.

Btw, I did some research for this question. Did you know there are only 5 guns per 100 people in the UK and only .3 per 100 in Japan?

You know how many there are in the US. 120.5 per 100 people.

An opinion that is heavily inaccurate to the situation. As not every game is going to result in you dying instantly... because the maps are too big for that to happen. I hate BR games because I don't like the playstyle or idea and the most popular one rn destroyed my favorite game. You're claiming to hate it because you feel personally attack when you end up at the wrong place at the wrong time. Otherwise known as being toxic and salty because you are dying to dumb luck or to someone better at the game then you. Keep dying when you land? One: The likely hood that someone is going to find a sniper in their first drop site is extremely low. Two: Stop dropping in high density areas where half the people in the match are going too. Big name players can survive because they know places with a good amount of items to grab that aren't going to be flood with players right off the get go. And if you're hiding in the shrink zone for fifteen minutes then you have no right to be complaining because staying in one spot in a BR game is the worst idea ever. A player who lasts the whole game is one that is able to remain inside the safezone... even before the battle area starts shrinking. They give you a white circle to indicate where the shrinking ends for a reason.

ShadowHounder, chill. Why are you being so antagonistic? You don't like BR, Zombie doesn't like BR, bond over that, don't go after people because they have different reasons for the same opinion. You're being pointlessly rude over something that doesn't demand rudeness at all.
